(6)

Smuggler³⁴²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Jim Crowley| T: M P Tregoning| OR: 72

4/1

Sir Percy gelding who shaped with promise when second in a 6f novice event on debut here last summer. Disappointing next 2 starts but not one to write off on return, particularly with give underfoot.

Form: 276-

(4)

The Cincinnati Kid¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R Hannon

15/2

Charm Spirit colt who didn't go without promise despite finishing sixth of 8 in a Salisbury novice (7f) earlier this month, noticeably travelling well for a long way. Rates a likely improver.

Form: 6

(5)

Flippance⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: K T O'Neill| T: A King

80/1

Pedigree is a mixed bag and well beaten both starts on AW/turf to date. Likely longer-term project.

Form: 00

(3)

Publicise²⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: David Probert| T: H Candy

28/1

Half-sister to high-class winner up to 6.5f Advertise. Easy to back both and essentially looked in need of experience both starts to date. Rates a likely longer-term project.

Form: 90

(2)

Quickstep Lady²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Oisin Murphy| T: A M Balding| OR: 80| BF

4/9

Improved model this term, matching her previous best and finding only a much-improved rival too strong over 6f at Windsor 25 days ago. Expected to be firmly in the mix again.

Form: 75-332

(7)

Restricted Access¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Harry Bentley| T: J G Portman

16/1

Twice-raced maiden who showed a bit more than previously without suggesting the shorter trip was in her favour when fourth at Salisbury (7f) last time. May do better again, particularly in handicaps.

Form: 04

Non-Runners

(1)

Greycoat³⁰⁹

Weight: 9-5| Age: 3

T: J R Fanshawe J: Daniel Muscutt

(8)

Strange Brew²⁵¹

Weight: 9-0| Age: 3

T: M J Attwater J: Jason Watson

Forecasts

Quickstep Lady (4/9), Greycoat (5/2), Smuggler (4/1), The Cincinnati Kid (15/2), Restricted Access (16/1), Publicise (28/1), Strange Brew (50/1), Flippance (80/1)

QUICKSTEP LADY has shown enough to think a race of this nature is within reach, finding only one who took a significant step forward too strong at Windsor 25 days ago. She earns the vote back up at 7f. Greycoat and The Cincinnati Kid are feared most, in that order.
