Was 4 from 5 last season but hasn't looked the same horse this time round, again readily left behind at Windsor last time. Tried in a visor but has plenty to prove.
Looked progressive in 2017 prior to a dismal display at Newmarket in November of that year. Not seen since, but interesting that connections are persevering.
Useful colt but is consistent rather than progressive and looks too high in the weights, on turf anyway. Visored for the first time.
Straightforward sort who is still getting better, powering home from rear to get up late at Goodwood last time. Obvious claims once again.
Very useful mare who landed a 3-runner Windsor handicap on her reappearance in June and upped her game again when touched off at Ascot recently. Looks a big player in current mood.
Likeable type who has scored over C&D in the past and pulled out another improved effort to make a successful return at Windsor a fortnight ago. Should put up another bold bid.
Progressive at 3 and looked set to for another good campaign when third on Rowley course return in June. Disappointing since, though.
Back-to-back winner of handicaps at up to 12f for Ian Williams but didn't appear to be in much form when eighth in handicap at Ascot on return for new stable. Others preferred.
Better than ever on the back of wind surgery when scoring at Newmarket in July and not at all discredited when third in a slightly stronger race at Chester 13 days ago. Looks vulnerable, however.
Lightly-raced winner who bounced back to form but wasn't all that strong at the finish when fifth at Newacstle 43 days ago, so cheekpieces need to spark improvement.
Forecasts
Muraad (15/8), Victory Chime (9/2), Hyanna (13/2), High End (15/2), Good Birthday (17/2), Maori Knight (12/1), Davydenko (12/1), Data Protection (14/1), Mandarin (18/1), Getchagetchagetcha (33/1)
HYANNA almost overhauled Look Closely at Ascot last time and has tasted success over C&D in the past, so a chance is taken on her to go one better. Victory Chime will likely make the running and will ensure the selection has to work and the improver Muraad certainly warrants consideration for an in-form stable.
