Loves it here, with three of his four wins coming at the track, including twice on soft ground. Up another 3lb for the latest of those last time out in a similar race, though probably needs to better than career-best to follow up.
C&D winner (good to soft) whose latest success came on his reappearance at Newmarket (6f, good to soft) in June. 3lb higher than that here but as his latest Ripon run showed, he has each-way claims.
Dual 6f soft ground winner, including over this C&D. Beaten ¾L by Zig Zag Zyggy here last time, and now meets him on 3lb better terms. Should again be thereabouts.
Has won twice, including over C&D (heavy) last September. Put a disappointing reappearance behind her with a better effort at Haydock last time, and is not ruled out now just 1lb higher than that latest win.
Dual 6f winner (AW/good to firm) who arrives in good form after the second of those successes at Newmarket last time. Up 6lb, but had a bit in hand there and if handling soft ground he looks very much a contender.
Scored over this trip in France (good to soft) last year. Has shown ability in two of his four starts in Britain (both 6f) but has been inconsistent. Very interesting from this mark if he can produce an optimum effort.
Multiple winner over 5f-6f, including here and also elsewhere on soft ground. Put in another very solid effort at York last time out, but will need to find more than that to defy a 1lb higher mark.
Dual 5f winner here, both on testing ground. Went close from today's mark at Haydock last month, and was also seen to good effect at Thirsk last time. 2lb lower here and a probable contender.
Dual 7f Musselburgh winner when the ground has been slow, including last time out when he made all. 5lb rise for that looks fair and a repeat effort would see him thereabouts, though there is a little for him to prove over this trip.
Won a soft ground Musselburgh handicap (7f) when with Karen McLintock last season, from 4lb lower. Held on both starts this season, and others press stronger claims on that evidence.

Forecasts
Edgewood (5/2), Autumn Flight (5/1), Alix James (5/1), Zig Zag Zyggy (11/2), Fortamour (11/2), Turn To Rock (15/2), Queen Of Kalahari (10/1), Jump The Gun (10/1), Black Friday (16/1), Dark Defender (18/1), Conga (28/1), Jungle Speed (33/1)
This looks potentially competitive, but with a 3lb pull for his defeat to Zig Zag Zyggy last time, perhaps soft ground C&D winner EDGEWOOD can again get his nose in front. Turn To Rock and Jungle Speed can both have a big say, while Autumn Flight and Dark Defender can't be ruled out.
- Edgewood
- Turn To Rock
- Zig Zag Zyggy
