Thrice-raced; runner-up in five runner contest here over this trip last month and since run well (fourth) in York novice (6f, good to firm; 2-1f). Sets the standard back here.
Won a C&D maiden on second start in June; no impact in Newbury's Super Sprint afterwards and well held on handicap bow at Chepstow early this month. Can go well back on the all-weather.
100,000 gns yearling, Kodiac colt; two good efforts in novice events over C&D and at Windsor before well held sixth of eight on h'cap bow at Goodwood (5f, good; 13-2). Significant class drop now.
Debut winner in 5f Wolverhampton novice in June; outclassed in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot after (33-1) and well both runs either side of wind operation since. Tackles 6f for the first time and must improve.
Cost 120,000 gns; unplaced in three starts on turf in novice/maiden company at 5f/6f so far. May improve on nursery bow but likely must do so.
Has shaped well enough in three turf runs; including nursery bow at Ascot (7f, good to firm; 11-2) when third of eight last month. Runs from the same mark here, down in class/trip and should give a solid account.
Outran odds of 50-1 on debut in Newbury novice (6f, good to soft) last month but didn't really build on that since at York (7f, good; 7-2). Can't be discounted on nursery bow back down in distance.
Has run well in all three starts; two of them on the all-weather at Wolverhampton over 5f. Nursery bow and that most recent form gives him claims, especially if seeing out this longer trip. Shortlisted.
No Nay Never filly; easily the best of her four runs came over C&D in June when 2¾L fourth of 10 in novice contest; hasn't gone on from that and recent h'cap bow at Goodwood (100-1) was poor. Needs revival back on the AW.
Has shown promise in trio of novice/maiden contests over 5f/6f so far; improvement to be found dipping into nursery on first all-weather start however.
Forecasts
Temple Bruer (9/4), Golden Bear (4/1), Unbutton (5/1), Charlie Fellowes (15/2), For Peat's Sake (9/1), Enduring (12/1), Farasi Lane (14/1), Perfect Sunrise (14/1), Stay Smart (22/1), Miss Diamond (50/1)
CHARLIE FELLOWES did some good late work behind Super Sprint runner-up Jojo Rabbit at Wolverhampton last time out and has shown promise in both all-weather runs. An opening mark of 68 is within his compass with in-form Harry Bentley taking over in the saddle. Top-weight Unbutton sets the standard and is feared, while C&D maiden winner Enduring should also be on the premises.
