Dual course winner (including over C&D); has previous with Regal Mirage; improved significantly upon his seasonal reappearance run (Newmarket) when finishing third (no match for the front pair) at Ayr (1m2f, good to soft) a fortnight ago.
Four-time Beverley scorer (3x over C&D); has risen steadily in the weights since plundering back-to-back handicaps (Cl 5 & 6) in June/July - form solid if viewed through the progressive Highwaygrey; undoubtedly more required from a mark of 75.
Class 5 Chepstow winner (1m2f) for Sir Michael Stoute in June 2019; made a fair introduction over hurdles for his current connections during the winter; twice placed without really threatening to win (including over C&D) since.
Won for the first time (outright) when clinging on grimly in an apprentices' handicap at Haydock (1m2f, good to firm) last week; escapes a penalty for that nose success, with the talented Cieren Fallon able to claim his 3lb allowance today; chance.
From the 7f and 1m2f (Listed) winner Hadaatha; kept decent company in a 1m2f fillies' novice (fifth) at Newbury (good) latest; rain shouldn't scupper her chances, and she sits on a reasonably fair mark (79) for her handicap debut.
8-35 turf; his last win came when short-heading today's rival Five Helmets (Zihaam fourth) over 1m4f here (good to firm) last September; the application of blinkers represents a slight concern; handicap mark easing (4lb below that 'winning' mark).
Prolific on the Westwood over the years (is a six-time C&D scorer); near enough his last winning mark - made all to beat Regal Mirage by 2¾L (June 2019); weakened tamely when third to the progressive Highwaygrey at Pontefract (1m2f) latest.
Knocked down to David O'Meara for 25,000gns in February (raced once for Simon Crisford); prominent on all three starts for current connections, including on handicap debut at Pontefract (1m4f) three weeks ago; 2lb lower back over 1m2f.
Bounced back from a modest reappearance when finishing second (20-1) to Turntable at Newmarket (1m, good to firm); held up in the rear, but arguably found wanting for stamina on first try at 1m2f at Haydock yesterday (same race as Union Spirit).

Forecasts
Rudy Lewis (5/2), Al Khabeer (3/1), Jaaizah (6/1), Union Spirit (7/1), El Picador (15/2), Irv (8/1), Regal Mirage (17/2), Five Helmets (10/1), Silver Mission (12/1), Zihaam (18/1), Bit Of A Quirke (28/1)
Both Silver Mission (seventh) and Union Spirit (eighth) contested the opener at Haydock Park yesterday, so the sneaking suspicion is that this race may cut up numerically. Many of the others are no strangers to one another with Regal Mirage, Five Helmets and Zihaam having clashed previously at this track. Meanwhile, without a penalty (apprentices' race) Rudy Lewis should run another solid race under the talented Cieren Fallon, but Roger Varian's interesting handicap debutante JAAIZAH makes most appeal from a reasonably fair opening mark of 79.
- Jaaizah
- Rudy Lewis
- Five Helmets
