Dual C&D winner (2017) who has also won here (1m½f) on two other occasions; second best (to Tangled) off this mark over C&D on his penultimate start; the 7lb claim of Tyler Heard is considered helpful.
Twice successful at York (7f) last summer, proving that he's versatile in terms of underfoot conditions; appears to be plenty high enough in the weights, albeit did make the frame at Ayr (7f, good to soft) a fortnight ago.
Rattled off a hat-trick of wins last summer (all over 7f); went closest to scoring since when beaten a head by Queen's Sargeant over C&D (good to firm) on his penultimate start; stablemate of Danielsflyer and Proud Archi.
Cut some slack by the handicapper when springing a 25-1 surprise at York (6f, good); that 'advantage' has quickly disappeared with a subsequent 6lb rise; is a past C&D winner.
Continues to slip down the weights following a modest spell of form (this being his first foray into a Class 4 since May 2016); should hit the target eventually, but it's difficult to predict exactly when; one of three for Michael Dods.
Ex-Richard Hannon; low-key since joining this trainer (four starts) for 30,000gns in late 2019; was slowly away (seventh) over C&D on his penultimate start; mark easing steadily and cheekpieces go on.
Pacy; won twice as a juvenile (6f), making all on both occasions; somewhat hit and miss so far this season, and his stamina reserves are undoubtedly a major concern at this stiff (uphill finish) track; stablemate of San Rafael.
Progressive (unexposed) three-year-old; caught the eye travelling well into contention from the rear when just out-battled by Three Coins at Ayr (7f, soft) 37 days ago; 3lb higher; sound chance should the thunderstorms develop with force.
Made his mark as a juvenile, including when successful over 5f at this track; things haven't gone to plan since sent handicapping (0-3); steps up noticeably in trip on first start since wind surgery; monitor only at this stage.
Winner on debut at Wolverhampton (7f, novice); much more like that standard of form when fourth to Kentuckyconnection over C&D latest (28-1); this stablemate of Gobi Sunset is introduced to stronger company today; others make greater appeal.

Forecasts
Byron's Choice (5/2), Tukhoom (4/1), Jamais Assez (6/1), San Rafael (13/2), Proud Archi (8/1), Rousayan (9/1), Rum Runner (9/1), King's Pavilion (10/1), Ginger Max (12/1), Danielsflyer (14/1), Triple Distilled (14/1), Gobi Sunset (16/1), Reeth (25/1), Harry Love (50/1)
Not an easy race to solve with various trainers either doubly or triply-represented. Both Rousayan and Triple Distilled have plenty of weight to carry, while Tukhoom has been hit with a 6lb rise for his shock 25-1 York win (penultimate start). With thunderstorms forecast almost everywhere in the UK, we'll take a chance on the drop of rain hopefully suiting either the feasibly handicapped King's Pavilion (the value-based play) or the unexposed JAMAIS ASSEZ (a safer option). Karl Burke's three-year-old caught the eye (given a subsequent 3lb rise) when finishing runner-up at Ayr 37 days ago.
- Jamais Assez
- King's Pavilion
- Triple Distilled
