Not the most auspiscious start to his chasing career when unseating early at Cartmel last month, and errors in this big field won't go unpunished. Trip and ground fine but others make more appeal.
Got to go back to 2017 to find the last time he got his head in front, and although placed on three of his last five chase starts, he probably needs some rain to be able to show his best, and is coming back of an absence so may need the run anyway.
Looks on a good mark, 5lb below last win and that came under a year ago. Two moderate efforts since coming back this season but may have needed those, and should be fitter here. Not discounted.
His win over The Boola Bee here last September looks all the better now, and he still looks on a workable mark, with this trip ideal. Drop of rain would only aid his chance and if fit after absence, has chances.
Form last year patchy, to say the least, but he looks capable of winning a race of this nature and he's on a very workable mark these days too. Overall strike rate isn't great but that aside, has a bit going for him here.
Yet to hit the frame in six chase starts but wasn't beaten far when fourth here last month; however, that was over 2m and the worry is this trip is going to prove a bit too far.
2016 the last time he won a chase but in his defence, he's only raced over them five times and shaped encouragingly enough over C&D on latest start. This is a bit easier, and he's hard to discount totally.
Continued his good run of form this season with another solid fourth at Uttoxeter on Saturday night, but this drop back in trip isn't certain to suit (best recent form at 3m). That aside, in good heart and should give it a go.
Placed once from five chase starts but was readily held by Istimraar here last month and now cheekpieces are tried. Has scope to improve if they work, and top jockey booking is interesting, but others make more appeal.
Only had the six starts in total, but early promise in novice hurdles already starting to look a bit of a distant memory, and he's falling quite quickly in the handicap. Still time to turn it around and step up in trip here might help.
11yo maiden that ran one of his better races over 2m here last time, beaten just over three lengths, but not hard to think, given overall record, he's going to find something with younger legs a bit too quick for him again.
Three wins in 23 chase starts, last of those coming over 3m here in 2018 and is 9lb lower than that here. Yard had a winner at Cartmel last week and not beyond the realms of possibility that he might show up well here. Ideally wants further, though.
Hard to find any positives in his form of last year but trainer stated he had a wind problem, and he has had a breathing operation to sort that out. Well handicapped (despite being out of the handicap) if you want to go back far enough.

Forecasts
Istimraar (5/1), Katalystic (13/2), Fresh New Dawn (7/1), Walkin In The Rain (7/1), Cool Valley (9/1), The Road Home (9/1), Lovely Schtuff (9/1), Plan Of Escape (11/1), Beautiful Ben (12/1), Our Lucas (12/1), King's Wharf (14/1), Buyer Beware (14/1), Beau Et Sublime (28/1), No Such Number (33/1), Havana Jack (50/1)
Thrill seekers for those at likely bigger prices might want to have a look at both Havana Jack for a yard that had a recent winner and Lovely Schtuff, who ran his best race after a wind operation last year and could do exactly the same this time around, but both are as likely to blow out as win and ISTIMRAAR has a much more sold profile and as such, is a more likely winner. This drop back in trip isn't ideal, but he travels well and should handle it, so can score again before the handicapper gets a hold of him. Plan Of Escape needs to bounce back but there are reasons for thinking that's not impossible.
