Fairly useful over hurdles but has yet to win in this sphere although this does look easier than his most recent start here over 20.4f. Unproven over that far he will appreciate this return to shorter but does have something to prove on the whole.
Dual winner over this sort of trip last summer in novice company, favourite on both occasions having been a beaten market leader on his first two starts for this yard. Not had the same impact in handicaps as expected, handicapper may be in charge.
Below-par in several AW Flat starts prior to unseating over hurdles last time when running a better race that he had on the Flat previously. Took a strong hold but yet to win over hurdles and that makes others more persuasive despite last time out.
Useful sort on the Flat, showed improved form over hurdles when winning at Uttoxeter (15.8f) asserting late on (value for more than the winning margin). Not in anything like the same form next time at Stratford, still on a good mark if bouncing back.
Still without a win over hurdles, arrives here on the back of a poor Flat effort (had been running respectably in that sphere). First-time tongue-tie now joins a hood (used before) in a bid to rejuvenate, well weighted on best Flat form if doing so.
Two creditable efforts on the Flat post wind surgery should have set him up nicely for a return to hurdles. Raced freely (also lost shoe), below-par though, perhaps isn't cut out for hurdles after all, makes handicap debut with questions to answer.
Back-to-back hurdles victories since the resumption, the first over C&D (off 15lb lower), defied a penalty just six days later. Poor on the Flat at Yarmouth last time now reverts to hurdles 8lb higher than last win, successful of this mark in past.
Easy to back at Cartmel (22.1f) last time returning from a 13-month absence when given plenty to do (effort short-lived). Tongue-tie now goes on, 6lb above last winning mark, this run should reveal more, one to take note of if there is a market move.
Would have needed the run on stable/GB debut having joined this yard from Henry de Bromhead (winner on Flat/over hurdles in Ireland). Made little impact last time, below-par prior to joining this yard, signs of progress needed before supporting.
Nudged up 2lb for a good third at Uttoxeter (19.9f) last time, faring better than before over hurdles off a break the form looking sound (winner since won again). Travelled well, may be significant that cheekpieces reappear, one to make a note of.
Ex-Irish hurdler who looked like landing a gamble for this astute yard on his debut for them at Market Rasen, just didn't see the 16.6f trip out as well as the winner Collodi. 4lb better off with that one, interesting to see how he fares this time.
Supported down to 6-5f last time off a break but once again failed to see a race out properly this time over 20.6f. A winner on his hurdles debut (15.8f) he may benefit for a move back to a sharp 2m such as this especially dropped 5lb.
Improved with each of his three novice hurdle runs but still lacks experience in this sphere. A recent Flat run (still of interest in that discipline) will have brought him on for his handicap debut, looks reasonable weighted judged on his Flat mark.
With his third yard already having left Sam Allwood but was well held on his first outing for his stable at Bangor (16.7f) on return making only a limited impact. Tongue-tie worn previously returns running off a career-low mark, of little interest.

Purple King (2/1), Jamacho (7/2), Lleyton (4/1), Northern Bound (5/1), Perfect City (6/1), Calvinist (10/1), Collodi (12/1), Glorious Dane (16/1), Yaa Salaam (16/1), Silkstone (20/1), Raashdy (20/1), Thaqaffa (33/1), Ayr Of Elegance (66/1), Too Much To Ask (66/1), Sir Tivo (100/1), Grand Inquisitor (100/1)
Backers are not short of option here in competitive race that could see one or two step forward on previous performances. Jamacho comes here looking for his hat-trick with the handicapper trying to tie him down but he won’t find this easy with opposition like Lleyton and Collodi having run well of late those two now reprising their Market Rasen clash from last time. Both Raashdy and Too Much Too Ask would be interesting if there was money for either the pair revering to a more suitable trip than last time at Cartmel. CALVANIST back in cheekpieces is given a tentative vote having produced a good third last time while Glorious Dane lurks on a dangerous mark for his handicap debut.
