Well-held in two runs but outran odds of 50-1 at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) when switched to the turf last month, finishing 2¾L fourth. Has to improve again but Hannon juveniles tending to be that way and Ryan Moore on board in nursery bow.
Definite signs of ability in three qualifying runs from The Last Lion colt; goes up in trip for nursery bow and likely improver for top yard.
Runner-up in both turf runs at Thirsk and Pontefract (both 6f, good) before disappointing as favourite on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (sixth) in a maiden 10 days ago. Cheekpieces on now back on turf and up in trip for nursery bow; likely to bounce back.
Twilight Son filly has run sound races in both starts at Newcastle (7f, AW) and Ripon (6f, good; 10-1); finishing 5L third last time. Needs to improve on nursery bow but conceivable she'll do that.
Charm Spirit filly and a half-sister to the stables dual winner Sir Pippin; improved on second start to be runner-up in Chepstow maiden (7f, good; 11-4) and looks a likely candidate on nursery bow with the champion jockey taking over.
Shaped well in three starts and confirmed promise when landing a Chepstow nursery (6f, good; 12-1) nine day ago; can be in the shake-up again but is up 5lb and this looks a stronger contest on paper so further progress demanded.
Clodovil gelding cost €32,000 as a yearling; showed signs of ability in three qualifying runs including runner-up over 6f at Wolverhampton in June; has to improve on nursery bow however as this looks a decent contest.
Promise in first two runs but was in trouble a long way from home on nursery bow at Chepstow (6f, good; 6-1) nine day ago; a race won by Charlie's Jamboree. Cheekpieces tried now and lots to find.

Forecasts
Cider Apple (11/4), In Paradise (4/1), Archibar (9/2), Charlie's Jamboree (5/1), Susucaru (13/2), Lanika (10/1), Branston Lion (12/1), Obtuse (12/1), Gordonstoun (33/1)
After twice finishing second from as many starts on grass, SUSUCARU was strong favourite for a Wolverhampton maiden late last month. The Starspangledbanner filly didn't appear to relish the surface there and could finish only sixth (rider dropped whip 1f out). She may well do much better here with new headgear to assist. This is a trappy contest, with Chepstow winner Charlie's Jamboree and likely improvers Archibar, Branston Lion and Cider Apple all worth noting.
- Susucaru
- Cider Apple
- Archibar
