Related to a couple of winners on the Flat but not showed much ability of present in three Flat starts not on hurdles debut at Roscommon (2m) this month. Looks opposable.

A winner in France who has only raced twice in Ireland. Beaten 46L on hurdles bow at Roscommon (2m) last week and will need to significantly improve on that.
Six-race maiden and failed to get involved on each start on the Flat, including 14L eighth in 1m1f handicap at this track last month. Has a fair bit to find on form for hurdles bow.
Has the best form of these on the Flat, winning twice. Fared okay on hurdles debut when fourth at Roscommon (2m) a week ago and every chance he can put another step forward.
Some promising form on the Flat for this yard and took another step forward when only beaten 3L at Galway last month (1m). One to note in the market for hurdles debut.

Sligo handicap winner on the Flat this term and was fancied to go well on hurdles debut before disappointing 35L sixth at Roscommon (2m) last week. Can be forgiven for that.
Failed to sell twice and has speedy pedigree. Dam was placed over 7f, half-sister to Italian Listed-placed winner over 6f and related to 1m Group 3 winner. Not exactly bred for jumping so best watched.

Lightly-raced sort on the Flat but didn't hint at anything special, including 17L defeat on seasonal return at Leopardstown (1m2f) in June. Needs more on hurdles bow.

Showed great promise over 7f on the Flat two starts ago but bombed out at Loepardstown (7f) latest. Now tries his hand at hurdling for shrewd trainer.

Eight-race maiden on the Flat for this yard and not seen since finishing down the field in juvenile nursery at Dundalk (6f) in November. Makes comeback hurdling bow.

3/1
Related to plenty of winners and shaped with best promise so far when third in 7f Galway handicap in late July. Represents top yard on hurdles bow. Shortlisted.
Sole reserve. Only one run of note on the Flat when third at Fairyhouse (1m2f) last month but not as good in two starts since. Makes hurdles bow with a bit to find.

Forecasts

Calidus Mirabilis (7/4), Sister Eliza (3/1), Little Brother (9/2), Perry Owens (10/1), Cobb And Co (11/1), Varna Gold (16/1), Bass Reeves (16/1), Voice Of Hope (18/1), Tommy The Hat (33/1), A Mere Bagatelle (33/1), Blue Sky Thinker (33/1), Thekeyisnottopanic (33/1), Belgoprince (40/1), Money Mike (50/1)

Verdict

Plenty of unknown form is brought into the race but the one who looks to be the most reliable is the Joseph O'Brien-trained CALIDUS MIRABILIS, who fared best of the re-opposing rivals from Roscommon last week when fourth and has the scope to progress through the hurdling ranks. Sister Eliza finished her time on the Flat with her best effort yet and there should be no qualms about her jumping for such a powerful yard, while the likes of Little Brother and Cobb And Co have good smart form, especially the latter who looked as if he was getting the hang of things last time out.
  1. Calidus Mirabilis
  2. Sister Eliza
  3. Cobb And Co
