Heavy ground 1m3f Carlisle winner May 2019 and gained first success since over C&D last time when staying on well to just outpoint Grinling (reopposes here) on Good to Soft. Does handle quicker ground but may be vulnerable this time.
Dual Sandown 1m2f winner last season but has looked out of sorts last two outings this campaign. Eaased 3lb since poor effort last time and now just 1lb higher than last win. Has a bit to prove but worth noting for any market confidence.
C&D winner last month then ran a shocker when last of 10 at Goodwood latest when sent off favourite. That effort was too bad to be true and off just 3lb higher than impressive win here has to be a candidate if back on song.
Won on debut at Wolverhampton 9.5f in February for James Tate then failed by short-head next time at Kempton 1m4f on first start for current yard. Never dangerous fifth on handicap bow at Ascot two weeks ago but better effort not ruled out here.
Disqualified for bumping rival after passing post first in Woverhampton 1m4f maiden last month then won easily in Newmarket 1m4f novice ast time. Handicap bow and looks fairly treated so has to be one for the shortlist.
Failed by a beck to hold Buriram here last time and meets that rival on the same terms having won here over 1m2f the time before. Sure to be thereabouts yet again on a track that suits .
Forecasts
Labeebb (9/4), Glenties (5/2), Buriram (9/2), Grinling (5/1), Media Storm (15/2), My Boy Sepoy (33/1)
All six contenders can be given a chance but there was plenty to like about the way LABEEBB won at Newmarket last time. He seems to have been allotted a workable mark for this handicap bow. Glenties won really well here last month then seemed not to handle the track when last of 10 at Goodwood a few weeks ago. He may bounce back and is feared. Buiriram and Grinling were separated by just a neck here recently and there may be little between the old rivals once again, while Media Storm wasn't disgraced on handicap bow when fifth at Ascot and is another who could make his presence felt in a decent contest.
- Labeebb
- Glenties
- Media Storm
