Veteran sprinter who rolled back the years to score at Newcastle in June. Not been able to dominate when below form since, and dangerous to dismiss in a race where he may get loose in front.
Best effort this term when fourth in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes on his return. Just in front of Caspian Prince at Goodwood last time, but not certain to confirm that form given he had the race run to suit.
Kept good company since winning on debut at Newmarket in May 2018 but looks to be settling down to a consistent level now, and placed in 5f handicaps on all three starts last month. Should give his running, for all he's not assured of the lead.
Standout effort when winning a 6f handicap at Yarmouth off 5lb lower last month, but raced too freely when well below that form at Newmarket next time. Drop in trip may help, but risky.
Has won four from five this term, proving himself completely effective on turf when beating Equitation off a 6lb lower mark at Ascot last time. Another career best required from revised mark, but not easily dismissed given profile.
Didn't quite spark in latter half of last year, and has continued in similar low-key manner in 2020. 7lb lower than for his return at Newmarket, and on a handy mark if bouncing back.
Running well this year, and produced a career best last time when winning by neck from Agent Shiftwell at Yarmouth. Up in class here, but going the right way, and respected.

KONCHEK may not get the luxury of the lead with Caspian Prince in opposition, but he's been running very well in similar events off this sort of mark this summer, and looks to have a fair opportunity to belatedly get his head back in front. Tone The Barone has been thriving this year, and is respected despite a 6lb rise for his latest win at Ascot, while Encore d'Or is going the other way in the weights after a barren spell, and is likely to bounce back at some point.
