Gelded since most recent run at Chepstow where he stayed on late to be sixth of 13 in a novice after rider lost his irons in early stages. Likely to come good at some point, although facing some better-treated rivals here.
Mukhadram colt out of a Sir Percy mare who won as a 2-y-o at around this trip. Has beaten just one rival in two starts so far, however, and makes no appeal again.
Gelded son of Sixties Icon out of a 1m½f-1½m winner. Dam's previous foals have been modest at best, and this newcomer is unlikely to be a major player.
Belardo half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner What A Business out of a maiden who stayed 1¼m. Yard has a modest strike-rate, but gets share of winners in this grade, so not totally ignored.
Improved for the drop to 5f when runner-up at Chepstow on second start. Hasn't built on that since, and rather disappointing at Lingfield on Tuesday, but has a major chance dropped to selling company and fitted with cheekpieces.
Anjaal half-brother to useful 5f winner Present Alchemy and 6f/7f winner Perfect Alchemy out of a 7f winner. Tongue tie on debut sounds a negative note, but won't need to be anything special to get involved.
Buratino half-brother to 5f-1m winner Burmese Whisper and 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Acertwo. Showed no immediate signs of ability on first start at Chepstow, and likely to be an outsider again.
Well beaten on debut, but showed there might be a small race in her when 8½L fifth of 13 to Go Greta at Lingfield (7f, AW) last time. Drops in class, and needs a second look.
Left Henry de Bromhead after being beaten 23L on debut at Bellewstown last month. Takes a marked drop in class on debut for new connections, so worth a market check.
By Sixties Icon out of a sprint maiden, from a modest but speedy family. Owner/trainer also has Astapor, and market will be useful in separating the pair.
Forecasts
Myboymax (7/4), Ayo Patsy (10/3), Bear Me In Mind (4/1), Jessop (9/1), Astapor (11/1), Open The Eagle (12/1), Say It As It Is (25/1), Mr Buzzbee (28/1), Iconic Mover (50/1), Cecco Bravo (80/1)
MYBOYMAX is not a confident choice after a disappointing effort at Lingfield earlier in the week, but he has the best form on offer, and the drop to selling company should give him a chance to shine against lesser rivals. Given the lack of solid form on offer, the newcomers won't need to be out of the ordinary to get involved, and Open The Eagle makes more appeal than most on paper despite being fitted with a tongue tie. Ayo Patsy and Astopor appear to be going the right way at a lowly level, and both have place claims.
