Can start slowly, but ran well when third at Doncaster two runs back, and was suited by being held up off a strong pace when going two places better over C&D last time. Upped 3lb but leading claims again.
Newcastle winner in Feb not entirely consistent but running well enough of late with his fourth at Beverley latest further evidence that his lower turf mark has mileage in it; each-way claims here.
Rated 80 on AW now and although rated 12lb lower on turf he showed in his close third at Newbury latest that he is more than capable on turf and he looks a big player off the same mark here with similar conditions forecast.
Building up a long losing sequence having shown off some useful form in the past and flopped massively in two starts in 2020. Visor didn't work latest so blinkers tried instead here. Makes scant appeal.
Failed to win in 2019 and late on in the campaign he was looking regressive so after 332 days off he is hard to fancy here against in-form rivals.
Hat-trick seeker after wins at Chepstow (7f, soft) and Ayr (1m, good). Upped another 7lb but yard's ability to keep finding extra with such handicappers means he remains high on the list today.
Lightly-raced gelding only beat one home on handicap debut at Newbury over 6f latest. Not sure what to expect up to 1m and gelded now but others come with less risk.
Succession of placed efforts as a 2yo including in handicaps on AW/turf at 6f running respectably each time. Running on fourth over 7½f at Beverley latest suggests 1m here can suit and not ignored by any means.
Eight-race maiden running respectably without really threatening this term. First-time visor will have to bring about plenty of improvement for him to feature here.
Well held on handicap debut at Hamilton (8.3f, soft) and probably didn't stay 1m2f at Beverley latest in first-time blinkers (retained). Lot to prove at this stage.
Forecasts
Star Of Valour (11/4), Le Reveur (3/1), Toro Dorado (4/1), Kayewhykelly (5/1), Trevithick (17/2), Internationaltiger (11/1), Lexington Storm (33/1), Ghayyar (40/1), Grand Pianola (50/1), Banksea (50/1)
Based on his ½L third at Newbury latest TORO DORADO's lower turf mark may well not do him justice and he is fancied to go two places here off the same mark. Sir Mark Prescott handicapper's in a win sequence are always to be respected so Le Reveur rates a big threat. Recent C&D scorer Star Of Valour also merits consideration.
- Toro Dorado
- Le Reveur
- Star Of Valour
