Has a modest strike-rate for one of his ability, but took advantage of a drop in the weights when winning at Haydock last month. Just 2lb higher here, and solid claims if getting the race run to suit from his low draw.
Recorded the most recent of his four wins at Beverley in 2018, and ran well when beaten 1¼L by Abate at Thirsk in June. Below best since, but drops in class now, and ought to be competitive as a result.
Runer-up in a Southwell seller in February, but he is a regressive performer these days, and he's been well beaten in three turf runs this summer. Handicapper gives him some slack, but he's hard to recommend.
Ran fairly well on his return at Thirsk, but failed by a long way to build on that last time. Has dropped to a decent mark, but tends to finish weakly, and needs to show a bit more spark to take advantage.
Placed in a seller at Leicester in September for Richard Hannon, but has been below even that modest form subsequently for current connections. Returns from a 5-month break here, and others should have his measure.
Won off a 5lb lower mark at Leicester in June, and back to that form when third at Wolverhampton last time. Being kept busy, and a reproduction of his best recent form would give him fair claims, for all he's missing his usual tongue tie.
Back to his last winning mark, and produced his best effort of the year when 2L fourth of 10 to Lyons Lane at Ayr last time. Will be competitive id repeating that effort, and may yet do better.
Not the force of old, and yard struggling for form, but he wasn't entirely discredited when a staying-on fourth of 12 to Excessable over 6f at Catterick last time. Needs to build on that, and drop to 5f not sure to suit.
Placed twice at a modest level this summer, including when third of 14 to Gorgeous Gobolina in a classified event at Musselburgh last time. More required back in handicap company, and others look stronger on balance.
Quite useful a few years ago, but very hard to predict his going days at the best of times, and recent efforts have been uninspiring.

The Grey Zebedee (11/4), Van Gerwen (16/5), Henley (11/2), Awsaaf (6/1), Gamesome (13/2), B Fifty Two (12/1), Rangefield Express (12/1), Indian Pursuit (14/1), Cuppacoco (16/1), Balata Bay (28/1), Kibaar (33/1), Robot Boy (33/1)
AWSAAF has less to prove than most, and with conditions firmly in his favour, he's taken to add to his Leicester success in June. Gamesome would be a big threat on his latest Haydock win, let alone his smart form of yore, but his draw is not ideal for one with his run-style, and perhaps a bigger threat will come from The Grey Zebedee, who has run creditably on his last couple of outings.
