Well placed to land two bumpers already this season, and looks like he'll make a useful prospect when seeing a hurdle. Penalties starting to mount up now, so this is no gimme, but he is the one to beat again.

Won't see the best of this Court Cave gelding until he sees more of a trip and a fence, but was second in a bumper here last month, a solid enough effort. Yard still finding winners elusive, though.
Dam was a bumper winner and this one was well backed (into favouritism) to score on debut at Uttoxeter last month, but was most disappointing in finishing only seventh. Given that support, better might be expected here.
Fame And Glory gelding that ran a cracker on debut at Catterick last November, finishing second (well backed) but couldn't repeat that in two subsequent starts. Might be best caught fresh and on that, couldn't be dismissed here.

Leading Light gelding, winner of only point-to-point start last year but that might not have taken a lot of winning (favourite pulled up). Nevertheless, could do no more than win and now has first start for new yard. Market the best guide.
Beaten big distances on her two starts to date, and nothing much was expected either, given the huge prices she was sent off. Cheekpieces tried today need to have a major effect.

Half-sister to a few winners, one of them a bumper winner, but she's not shown a lot in two starts to date. In good hands and it is still very early days, so could easily do better. Gets plenty of weight here too.

Forecasts

Ultimate Getaway (6/4), Courtland (10/3), Bravo Buddy (10/3), Karastani (17/2), If Karl's Berg Did (14/1), Dansant Express (16/1), Thegreymarestail (250/1)

Verdict

Ultimate Getaway already has a couple of bumper wins to his name and has every chance of making it three, but he has to give a lot of weight away to KARASTANI and you'd imagine there's surely better to come from Alan King's filly. In the hope she can take a step forward, she is given a sporting vote to overturn the likely favourite. Dansant Express was clearly expected to do better on his debut and despite not firing there, is probably capable of better.
  1. Karastani
  2. Ultimate Getaway
  3. Dansant Express
