Ready winner of a similar class event at Huntingdon last December and followed up the week after, but new mark has now kicked in (up 15lb). Only had a handful of starts though and could yet prove a class above these if fit.
Often highly tried throughout much of last year, running very well in the face of stiff tasks. Starting to come back down to a mark he can work from, but suspicion is that he'll need this after an absence, and is best watched today.
Wasn't done with when falling in a handicap chase at Southwell last month and reverts to hurdles here. Worry is that you have to go back to 2017 to find last win (for Gordon Elliott) but strictly on the figures, he has a chance, and trip suits.
Rattled off a hat-trick of wins in small-field handicap chases last autumn and looked very progressive before a couple of hiccups at the end of the year. On a good mark returned to hurdles but this might be a warm up before going back chasing.
Has shown little in three starts for this yard but had previously won a handicap hurdle at Sligo and looks fairly treated on that. Trip possibly on the short side though, and on balance, others make more appeal.
Only knows the one way, lead from the front and on his day, is a very hard horse to pass, as he finds plenty for pressure these days as well. Almost made it home in front here last month, caught late on, and a repeat from 2lb higher takes him close.
Comes back to hurdles after a string of poor efforts over fences, hasn't completed four of last five starts and last of six on the other. Thrown in on the best of his form but what his confidence is like at present is anyone's guess.
Twice a winner over hurdles in Jersey last summer, and is now back on a fair mark over hurdles on the best of his form. Should be fitter for a recent outing on the Flat and for one of his ability, has a decent strike rate. Not discounted.
C&D winner from 3lb lower mark last year but all rather went downhill after that, and a late unseat at Stratford last time won't have helped. Still, ran okay to a point there, but will get taken on for the lead by Hallings Comet today.

Hallings Comet might be 11, but he retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game and he's bound to give this a good go from the front. He digs in at the business end of the race too, and if the others let him have his own way, could be hard to pass around this tight track. PAGERO has the potential to leave this grade behind as the season progresses and if fit on his reappearance today, looks the one to beat after a progressive year. Roar will travel well in behind horses and should have his chance late on if the selection fails to fire.
