Off time: 15:30  |   Winning time: 1m 34.03s

Age: 7|  Weight: 10-1  |  J: Rowan Scott |  T: Roger Fell|  OR: 67|  D

Not really caught fire this season underlined by his latest effort on the AW/Newcastle on Sunday finishing held in midfield. In mitigation it was tough to come from off the pace, slipped well below his last winning mark if he can find some spark.

Age: 6|  Weight: 9-13  |  J: B A Curtis |  T: Grant Tuer|  OR: 65|  D

Three-time winner last year producing his best at Newcastle at up to 7.1f late in the year. Not quite so good this year (still finding his form), looked rusty after a break recently at Doncaster over 6f, merely plugging on at the end, 1lb above last

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-12  |  J: Danny Redmond |  T: Adrian Nicholls|  OR: 64|  D

Justified market support when returning to Catterick (already 7f winner there) in July to score off a similar mark under a useful apprentice. Failed to repeat that effort last time at Ayr, now finds himself on a career-high mark, likes to front-run.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-9  |  J: Gemma Tutty |  T: Mrs K Tutty|  OR: 61|  D

Off the mark on turf last time having been well supported at fair-sized prices stepped up to 8.3f from a couple of 7f efforts. Seen to good effect at Hamilton her overall profile suggests that she's not one to be too confident about following up.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-9  |  J: Kevin Stott |  T: K A Ryan|  OR: 67|  D

Sole 3yo in the field, deserving of extra credit for going one better than his previous start with a Catterick 7f win last time. Best delivered last he needs a decent pace to run at (should get that here), up 4lb, looks sort to remain competitive.

Age: 7|  Weight: 9-8  |  J: P Mathers |  T: I Furtado|  OR: 60|  D

First run on turf since June last year having been kept to the AW since then (much better on synthetic surfaces). Usually held up she's 0-8 on turf, likely to need this run and given her profile doesn't mount a particularly persuasive case.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-4  |  J: Ben Robinson |  T: Ollie Pears|  OR: 56|  CD

Took advantage of a much-reduced mark and a wind op to score at Catterick last September over this trip. C&D winner, 3lb above that mark now, below form his last two starts will need to show more to get involved, hard to support on recent evidence.

Age: 8|  Weight: 8-8  |  J: Harrison Shaw |  T: F Watson|  OR: 45

Poor maiden (0-16) with wind surgery not making much difference to his form since he was operated on. Lightly-raced since surgery, tried over 12f last time (off bridle early), offers little scope from just out of the weights dropping back in trip.

Ventura Rascal (1/1), Elixsoft (4/1), The Big House (9/2), Inner Circle (5/1), Christmas Night (10/1), Etikaal (10/1), Tadaawol (16/1), Fly True (66/1), Newspeak (125/1)

Very few of these grab the imagination as a likely winner with VENTURA RASCAL looking to have a good chance of following up his Catterick win from last time when he did well to see the race out having rallied late on. Prior to that he had been progressing steadily and even off his new mark he should remain competitive. Etikaal would be a danger slipping down the handicap if coming on from his last run with The Big House a danger if allowed a free ride up front from an inside draw despite a new career-high mark. Elixsoft, Inner Circle and Tadaawol all have claims without being outstanding candidates the last-named looking very well handicapped now if he did burst into life.
