Fetched 220,000 gns at the breeze-ups in June. Kodiac colt. Half-brother to Italian winner Gloriux (6f). Dam was unplaced but comes from family of King's Stand winner Bolshoi. Trainer and jockey are in fine form so one to note on debut.
Struggled on debut over C&D in June but showed marked improvement when 3L fifth in 6f Redcar novice on latest start. Would be no shock if he was to go on again. Shortlisted.
Homebred. First foal. Dam was a winner up to 1m4f, sister to 1m4f winner Tykie Two and granddaughter of 2m hurdle winner. Looks to have a staying future so one for the long-term.
92,000 gns two-year-old (breeze-ups). Half-brother to winners Andhesontherun (6f), Autumn Splendour (6f) and Philadelphia (7f). Nice pedigree and should be winning in time.
First foal out of useful 6f handicapper Queen's Pearl who has relations to some Listed/Group winners. Yard have begun to hit a purple patch however so notable if there is market support for debut.
Only beaten a neck on debut and then followed that up with another respectable second in C&D novice last month behind classy winner. Not the calibre of that rival in this race so holds leading claims.
£70,000 purchase at the breeze-ups. By precocious sort and half-brother to winners Honor Oak (1m2f), Magic Jazz (1m1f) and Jazz Hands (1m1f). Interesting debutante and betting should guide.
Very well-bred 260,000 gns yearling. Not beaten all that far on debut when 4L sixth at Leicester (6f) in June. Given time to recover since and has very notable jockey booking for this. Shortlisted.

Solent Gateway (5/4), Al Saariyah (5/2), Devilwala (7/2), Reverential (7/1), Wobwobwob (11/1), Royal Musketeer (16/1), Typical Man (20/1), Prince Of Bel Lir (28/1), Mister B (33/1), Owens Lad (150/1)
These novice contests are typically informative and this one looks up to scratch, and one that SOLENT GETAWAY can get off the mark in. He's done nothing wrong at all in his first two starts and was no match for a potential group horse last time. This is easier and his experience could be vital. It is notable that William Buick comes up to ride Al Saariyah, who is likely to be ridden with more restraint this time, while the debutantes Devilwala and Reverential were hefty purchases at the breeze-ups this season and have very likeable winning pedigrees.
- Solent Gateway
- Al Saariyah
