Placed twice on the all-weather earlier this year but finished a well beaten 11L sixth at Haydock (1m, good-to-soft) in June on his return from a break. Worth a check in the market.
Placed on both starts this campaign including when runner-up over 7f at Salisbury (good-to-firm) last month. Remains open to improvement and is one for the shortlist on handicap debut.
Successful twice over 6f on fibresand last year and has run well on all three starts this campaign including when 2½L fourth over this trip at Ayr (soft) last month. Interesting with blinkers applied for the first time.
Runner-up on all three starts to date most recently when beaten 1L in a maiden over 1m at Windsor (good-to-firm) just under a fortnight ago. Bold show likely down in trip on handicap debut.
Off the mark when springing an 80/1 shock in a 6f maiden at Windsor (good-to-firm) in June. Decent 4L fifth on soft ground over the same trip at Chepstow subsequently and is of interest upped in trip on handicap debut.
First attempt at this trip came when finishing 5L third in an all-weather handicap at Kempton last month. Races off the same mark here and looks likely to run well once more.
Ended last season with a 7f maiden victory at Wolverhampton in December but struggled when last of six in a race over this C&D on handicap and seasonal debut last month. Others make more appeal.
Finished fourth on both starts since winning over 6f at Wolverhampton in June. Cheekpieces worn for the first time last time out are absent with a tongue tie tried for the first time on return to turf.
Victorious over this trip at Newbury (good) just under a year ago but has disappointed in the main since including when last of 12 over this trip at Kempton seasonal debut in June. Races off a mark 1lb lower than for that Newbury success.
Forecasts
Vasari (11/4), Grande Rumore (10/3), Anjah (4/1), Lion Tower (6/1), Millionaire Waltz (11/1), Tommy Rock (12/1), Phuket Power (16/1), Miss Villanelle (28/1), Amathus (40/1)
GRANDE RUMORE shouldn't be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip and following three good efforts in maiden/novice company she can make a winning handicap debut by taking this three-year-old only event. The selection can get the better of Anjah who has run well when placed on both starts this campaign while third place can go to Vasari who is making a return to turf.
- Grande Rumore
- Anjah
- Vasari
