Off the mark second start at Lingfield 6f in June and by no means disgraced when solid this at Epsom 6f latest in a warm conditions event. Makes handicap bow off 85 for yard who won this race 12 months ago with similar type.

Justified favouritism on debut at Pontefract 5f in June then solid second under penalty in 6f conditions race at Newcastle 17 days later. Led until headed and faded final furlong when 4th of 5 in Epsom conditions latest (Mutazawwed third).

Didn't show much on debut but better second start when 4th of 11 in Beverley novice auction stakes. Not best of runs and ran creditably when third over C&D last time and open to further improvement at this trip.

Close third at Doncaster 6f on debut in June but appeared not to see out 7f when tiring late on at Redcar soon after. Returns after five-week break and gets plenty of weight so by no means out of the reckoning on handicap bow.

Forecasts

Mutazawwed (6/4), Inhaler (9/4), The Mousen Champ (4/1), Hagar (5/1)

Verdict

A very trappy four-runner nursery, but MUTAZAWWED hails from last year's winning yard that continues in fine form and looks the type to pay his way through the second half of this campaign after a solid effort at Epsom latest. Inhaler was close behind that day and there again won't be much between the pair on these terms. The Mousen Champ has improved with his racing and another step forward here would not surprise, while getting weight from the other three Hagar is no forlorn hope back at this trip after failing to stay over further last time.
  1. Mutazawwed
