Yarde has 14% strike rate here with its juveniles and this Markaz colt showed promise when fourth in debut at Ripon a few weeks ago. Half-brother was Listed sprint winner and every reason to expect a bold show this time.

12,000gns Sepoy colt out of 1m winner who is half-sister to Group 1 winner Here Comes When. Yard in good form of late but only 1-12 with 2yo's so far this season. Will need to be smart to make a winning debut in this company.

£8,500 Pearl Secret colt out of 6f winner and related to a number of winning sprinters. Faded well over 1f out when 9th of 13 on debut at Beverley 5f. Should have learned plenty but needs to improve to score.

6,000gns Maysocn colt whose unraced dam is half-sister to a 1m4f Group 3 winner. Will probably stay further and will do very well to rpove competitive at this trip first time out against others with experience.

Helmet gelding who ran promising race after very slow start on debut here over 5f lats month, recovering to chase leaders then held last half furlong. Looks a contender this time if jumping off on terms for yard among the winner of late.

£9,000 Adaay filly was promising fifth to talented The Lir Jet on debut at Yarmouth then runner-up at Chepstow latest after being bumped before halfway. Cheekpieces now added and bold show expected.

Forecasts

Ocean Star (13/8), Blowing Wind (15/8), Out The Hat (4/1), Conspiracy (10/1), Hafeet Star (22/1), Otto Oyl (25/1)

Verdict

OUT THE HAT was an eyecatcher first time recovering very well after a poor start to close in on leaders before tiring late on. He'll know more this time and can get off the mark. Blowing Wind could prove the main danger. He ran a pleasing first race when fourth of 14 at Ripon and will be sharper for that, while Ocean Star should pick up a race or two having shown ability in both starts so far. It might be case of a place this time however. Conspiracy is expected to be wiser for his debut and the extra furlong will help his cause. Hafeet Star is the preferred of the two newcomers.
  1. Out The Hat
  2. Blowing Wind
  3. Ocean Star
