Windsor (6.1f) novice winner, been optimistically campaigned in pattern/Listed company since that success. Not quite up to that level, drops down in grade for handicap debut (up to 7f for first time), mark looks a testing one on current evidence.
Four-wins as a 2yo at up to 7f the final two in handicap company, highly-tried on her last juvenile start. Stepped up on her return with an unlucky second at Sandown (7f, good) off 3lb lower, below form taking on her elders in Bunbury Cup last time.
Useful as a 2yo despite failing to win completed a simple task when landing the odds in a minor event at Sandown (7f, good) on return. Underperformed when making handicap debut last time, eased 2lb, mark still looks a testing one.
Progressed nicely over the winter winning three times on the AW, the last two in handicap company. Not seen to best effect on AW return, blotted copybook on turf debut last time (very slow away, looked reluctant), gelded since, treat with caution.
Took a race either side of the enforced break to go 2-2 in career before being highly tried in the Jersey Stakes (Group 3). Quickly bounced back, eased in grade (handicap debut) at Yarmouth (7f), narrowly beaten, contender back up to 7f.
6f nursery winner at this meeting last year (second win as a 2yo), ended juvenile year with a below-par performance. Gelded since once again failed to live up to his nursery form on return to action this year, has something to prove currently.
Yarmouth 7f novice winner (testing ground), improved on that form when placed in two good 3yo handicaps of late. Shaped really well when narrowly beaten at Doncaster last time (good turn of foot, form working out well), strong claims off 5lb higher.
Capped his smart 2yo form with an AW win over 6f on Tapeta, has come back and even better model this year. Performed well in two deep Newmarket 3yo handicaps prior to getting off the mark eased in grade (first-time cheekpieces) last time over 7f.

Forecasts
Society Lion (5/4), Cold Front (4/1), Mister Snowdon (5/1), King Ragnar (5/1), Tomfre (11/2), Corvair (14/1), Homespin (14/1), Fleeting Prince (28/1), Manigordo (40/1)
The draw shouldn’t come into play too much in this relatively small field but this is Goodwood. Mark Johnston will do well to maintain his superb recent record in this race via Homespin whose recent effort leaves him plenty to find. COLD FRONT deserved his easy win last time having bumped into some smart sorts before and although he’s in fairly deep for his handicap debut this mark doesn’t look beyond him for a yard who are in flying form. Society Lion (tricky draw) is a major danger on Doncaster second that is working out well as is Master Snowden, undone by a big move into contention last time at Yarmouth. King Ragnar is another who can’t be ignored after his good start to 2020.
- Cold Front
- Mister Snowdon
