C&D winner ended last season with a victory over 1m at Brighton (good-to-soft). Raised 5lb for that triumph and interesting to see how he fares down in trip on seasonal debut.
Good 5L third in a 7f maiden at Redcar (good) in June but failed to build on that when 10L fifth at Windsor (1m2f, good-to-firm) last time. Cheekpieces applied for the first time and is one to note back over this trip on handicap debut.
Finished runner-up on both starts this campaign including when beaten a neck on good-to-firm ground over this C&D just over a fortnight ago. Strong claims despite a 1lb rise in the weights.
Showed up well on both starts this campaign most recently when winning by a short-head over 1m at Kempton in June. Given a short break since since and is a notable runner racing off a 2lb higher mark on his return to turf.
Below par 14L sixth in a handicap over this C&D on good ground in June. Races off the same mark here and more needed if he's to take this contest.
16 time winner and built on a promising return from a break when finishing 1L third in a 1m handicap at Bath (good-to-firm) last month. Drop in trip no issue and interesting to see how he performs.
14 race maiden has finished fifth on each of his last three starts. More needed than when beaten 4¾L over 7f at Kempton in February if he's to take this on his return from a break.
Victorious over this trip at Leicester (good-to-firm) at the end of June and ran well when finishing a short-head second over 6f on good-to-firm ground here subsequently. Bold show looks likely off this 2lb higher mark.
Six time winner most recently by a neck over this C&D on good-to-firm ground just over a fortnight ago. Leading contender despite a 3lb rise in the weights.
Put a couple of disappointing efforts behind him when finishing fourth over 1m at Kempton last month. Interesting if capable of building on that performance.
12 race maiden finished fifth in a good-to-firm ground C&D handicap last time out. Looks likely to be playing a minor role in this event.
Forecasts
Dream Location (7/2), Mabo (4/1), Baltic Prince (6/1), Hedging (17/2), Kendergarten Kop (17/2), Man Of The Sea (9/1), Inner Circle (12/1), Entertaining (14/1), Onebaba (18/1), Outer Space (18/1), Crimson Princess (20/1)
MAN OF THE SEA has a decent draw here and having shown good form when winning here last time out he can complete a double with victory in this handicap event. The selection can get the better of handicap debutant Dream Location who represents a leading stable while third place can go to Inner Circle who has a top jockey in the saddle and has been running well in defeat of late.
- Man Of The Sea
- Dream Location
