Well beaten in both starts since joining this yard including when last of ten over C&D here in December. Others make more appeal on her return from a break.
Below par in both starts this turf campaign including when 17L eight over this trip at Chepstow (good) in June. Probably best watched switched to the AW.
Finished seventh on last two starts most recently when beaten 14L over this distance at Kempton in June. Others hold more obvious claims in this contest.
Ran well when finishing third off this mark in a 6f handicap at Ayr (good) earlier this month. Notable runner but has failed to place in nine previous starts on the AW.
C&D winner returned from over 11 months off the track with a 24L 11th in a good-to-firm ground 1m handicap at Bath earlier this month. Likely to have improved for the run and top apprentice booked to ride once more.
Recorded his second career success when winning by 2L in a C&D classified event just under a month ago. Well beaten off a mark 5lb lower than he races off here prior to that and interesting to see how he performs.
15 race maiden has struggled in two starts since finishing fifth over this C&D in June. Worth a check in the market with a tongue tie worn for the first time.
Good 1½L third in a 6f handicap at Lingfield in January and market support would be notable on his first start since finishing 12½L seventh over this trip at Southwell the following month.
Decent efforts in defeat of late most recently when 5½L sixth in a classified event at Musselburgh (7f, good) earlier this month. Notable runner having won off this mark over C&D last August.
Struggled in five starts since wind surgery most recently when 13L 13th over an extended 1m at Hamilton (good-to-soft) earlier this month. Market support would be notable down in trip with blinkers tried for the first time.
Followed up a 6f Hamilton (good-to-soft) victory in June with two solid efforts at Ayr including when 2L sixth on good ground 18 days ago. Interesting upped in trip.
Forecasts
Deftera Lad (7/2), Vivacious Spirit (4/1), Red Bravo (11/2), Deconso (15/2), Masquerade Bling (17/2), Waqaas (9/1), Elzaam's Dream (10/1), Dodgy Bob (14/1), Quickly Does It (18/1), Falcao (18/1), Connemera Queen (33/1)
Previous C&D winner MASQUERADE BLING hails from a yard with a 37% strike-rate (7/19) in recent weeks and the drop back in trip can see him register a third AW victory by taking this competitive 7f handicap. The selection can get the better of Deconso who races off his last winning mark while third place can go the way of Deftera Lad who was victorious in a classified event on his most recent start.
- Masquerade Bling
- Deconso
- Deftera Lad
