Front-runner who scored two wide margin wins during the winter at this trip, including once here. Not quite in the same form in both runs since resumption but the drop in class today is in his favour.

Placed twice on Southwell's fibresand as a two-year-old and quickly back on track at Haydock last time after a poor comeback run at Windsor when favourite. This is a weaker grade and looks set to play a prominent role.

Poor run at Catterick but that was her first run on turf and had previously shown that 6f here is what she wants with a pair of placed efforts behind the same in-form rival. Claims, though may need a bit more to break her duck.

Regressive sprint maiden with Richard Hughes and needs to improve on first run for this yard to figure here with blinkers tried last time quickly dispensed with.

Won a five runner race at Brighton last summer but hasn't gone close to doubling her tally and the best of her form this season has been at the minimum trip with 6f just stretching her.

5f win at Wolverhampton last October and some p;laced efforts in similar company since but yet to convince this extra furlong is what she wants and others make more appeal.

Having been tried at up to 1m and in cheekpieces, the drop down to this trip and first-time blinkers worked perfectly when he bolted up by over 3L at Yarmouth last week. 5lb well in under penalty and will take some stopping if in same mood.

Maiden who is proving disappointing this season and needs to bounce back to the best of her juvenile form to play a part here.

Didn't beat a single rival in trip of maidens last term and handicap debut recently wasn't much netter. First-time hood needs to make quite a dramatic impact.

Rare for this yard to have one rated so low. Did offer a glimmer of ability at Bath last time and the cheekpieces now go on for the first time so could conceivably do better.

Poor maiden tried over various trips (tough this 6f probably his best run) and hard to be positive about from 11lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Wrath Of Hector (6/4), Sir Rodneyredblood (7/2), Alex Gracie (8/1), Quaint (17/2), Bartat (11/1), Shymay (11/1), A Go Go (14/1), Rathagan (25/1), Numinous (25/1), Conker (80/1), Gifted Dreamer (100/1)

Verdict

WRATH OF HECTOR was much improved at Yarmouth last week and has form from earlier in the year on the AW so should take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Quaint got back on track at Haydock in a better race last time and looks the biggest threat while Numinous could go well at a big price.
  1. Wrath Of Hector
  2. Quaint
  3. Numinous
