Yet to add to his win at the Galway festival 12 months ago but worthy of consideration based on his effort at Killarney earlier this month.

Won a third race on the Flat at this venue on his penultimate start earlier this month off a 10lb lower mark. Likely to go well for pilot currently riding high in the apprentice championship standings.

Has failed to turn some obvious potential into winning form and beginning to be expensive to follow. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Very likable mare rarely runs a bad race, but she's been placed 18 times in 35 starts and boasts just a solitary win. Beaten favourite over C&D last month but can give a good account.

Four-race maiden but made pleasing seasonal introduction at Fairyhouse last month. Adept pilot in the saddle, tipped to be one of the rising stars of the weighing room.

Six-race maiden, well held in three starts when last seen in September/October. Competent apprentice in the plate, just outside of the top 10 in the apprentice standings.

Won twice on Tapeta last season for Mark Johnston, but her form tailed off after midsummer. Well down the field on stable debut over C&D last month and first-time blinkers unlikely to spark improvement.

Well beaten and no impression in a number of starts on the AW at Dundalk over the winter and much the same story in a couple of starts at Roscommon and at this venue over 1m4f earlier this month.

Off the mark for connections at the fourth time of asking in a 1m two-year-old nursery at Naas last September. Ran well in defeat on return at Fairyhouse. Efficient rider in the saddle, sat comfortably in the top 10 of the apprentice championship.

Three-race maiden. Not given a hard time on stable debut in a Naas maiden or on the AW at Dundalk earlier this month. Handicaps appear the way forward.

Plenty of promise in three of her four career starts including last time out in a Limerick 7f maiden earlier this month. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.

Four-race maiden, generally well held in a couple of maiden efforts at Cork and Limerick earlier this month. On balance probably has something to find in this company.

Forecasts

Reverberation (5/2), Atlas (3/1), Passing Trade (15/2), Pempie (9/1), Funny Little Ways (10/1), Luke Short (14/1), Abeona (14/1), Imposing Supreme (14/1), Dedillon (20/1), Zofar Zogood (22/1), Grizzly (25/1), Royal Casamento (50/1), Windham Belle (50/1), Sam Missile (100/1), Liliofthelamplight (100/1)

Verdict

The Denis Hogan-trained ATLAS can land his fourth success on turf. The seven-year-old will possibly continue his good run of form following a win at this track before a solid run at the Galway festival on Monday. The solid and consistent, Reverberation can produce the biggest challenge with the assistance of leading apprentice, currently sat at the top of the championship standings. It would be no surprise to witness a grand effort from Passing Trade while Zofar Zogood and Funny Little Ways are capable of hitting the frame.

  2. Reverberation
  3. Zofar Zogood
