In flying form since being gelded and stepping up in trip; fully deserved his maiden success at Catterick last time out and must be shortlisted from just a 1lb higher mark now he's back in a handicap.
Finished 1¼L behind Rebel Soldier Boy in a maiden at Catterick last time (was also behind him at Leicester earlier in the month) but now meets that rival on more favourable terms; something to prove but yard's runners can thrive on being kept busy.
Had a relatively hectic summer last year culminating with a C&D win on soft ground in October. Found things tougher so far since his return and needs to bounce back from a modest effort when well backed at Ayr last time.
Faced a couple of stiff tests since winning a nursery (6f, good to soft) at Carlisle last September; probably needed the run when sixth of 16 at York latest but that form has been franked and looks solid in the context of this race; a player.
Won a 7f nursery on the AW last November but not built on that in two starts this year. His latest outing was a step backwards but it's possible he was unsuited by the soft ground at Haydock; 0-5 on turf and now has a bit to find.
Posted two promising efforts so far and starts his handicap career from a workable mark; had wind surgery since last seen so the betting will have to guide on this occasion as he debuts on turf/in a handicap. (First run since February.)
No joy during spells with Richard Hannon and Jedd O'Keeffe but he's shown more than flickers of ability and wasn't beaten far when third of 6 at Hamilton latest. Needs to prove his stamina over tonight's distance, though. (Debut run for the yard.)
Off to a flyer in 2020 when he landed a 7f handicap on the Polytrack at Kempton in March but three subsequent starts on turf have been progressively worse; disappointing favourite last time and limitations now exposed.
Has taken time to get the hang of things but his latest start was more up to expectations of his pedigree; might be more to come now his stamina is being called upon a bit more; one to keep a close eye on in the betting.

Rebel Soldier Boy is thriving just now and looks capable of at least upholding recent form with My Friend Stan judging by the stylish manner of his win at Catterick a fortnight ago. He looks well worth a saver in this company. However, there could also be some mileage to be gained in giving SINGE ANGLAIS another throw of dice for an each-way play as he drops in grade after a highly satisfactory seasonal debut in a tough handicap at York earlier in the month. He's unexposed at this trip and could have plenty more to offer as this season goes on. Star Of St James is another interesting one to note for signs of support now he's proved 7f isn't an issue too.
