Supported when winning his first race since the summer of 2018 at Chelmsford (6f, slow) in January off 4lb lower. Ran with credit when attempting to follow-up (same C&D), returns to 5f back on turf off an absence, market to provide best guide.

Stable's sprinters in good form; already contributed a win this year over 5f at Hamilton on the back of a break/wind op, (race run to suit, wore blinkers). Backed up previous effort last time on AW (wore visor), blinkers return, solid claims again.

In fair form last couple of years over 5f (won five times, dual C&D winner), shaping up well this year especially on latest start at Doncaster under regular rider Faye McManoman, looks ready to win again especially if getting some give in the ground.

Showed promise on reappearance/stable debut (left Ivan Furtado) at Newbury (6f, good), last month. Yet to win in GB, enough in last performance to suggest that can win off this mark back at a bare 5f, tongue-tie left off again.

Resumed winning ways on Fibresand at the start of the year over 5f (win came out of the blue, 20-1). Fared poorly since on AW/turf (last time), with/without headgear looing an awkward sort (wanders around), one to treat with caution/care.

Best at 5f (5-22), looked on her way back to her best at Haydock (5f, good/soft), travelled best (needed run), faded to finish fourth. Generally takes a big step forward from her first run of the season (won second time out last two seasons).

7/1
Course winner (6f) on his last visit off a 1lb lower mark, excuses for both defeats this year (got no run at all last time at Beverley; messy race). Blinkers retained (all bar one oh his wins has come in headgear), capable of playing a part in this.

Glory Fighter15
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: G Lee| T: I Jardine| OR:  75| D
7/2
Struggled as 3yo in a light campaign with Charles Hills, has shown encouragement in all three starts for this yard. Shaped better than the bare result at Ayr (6f, good/firm) last time, interesting back at 5f off this mark, one to take note of.

Forecasts

Glory Fighter (7/2), Our Little Pony (4/1), Manshood (4/1), Machree (5/1), Jungle Speed (13/2), East Street Revue (7/1), Storm Over (16/1), Airshow (28/1)

Verdict

A few that are ready to win again in this competitive 5f sprint with MACREE looking the most likely having scored on her second start in the past two years. Went well on her seasonal reappearance before just getting found out for fitness, that run already franked by the subsequent win of the third. Glory Fighter also looks of interest, he’s been “bubbling under” since joining this stable and caught the eye last time at Ayr recording an effort much better than his finishing position. Our Little Pony and East Street Revue have also shown promise this year both hinting they are on decent marks to strike soon. Both Manshood and Jungle Speed also look to have a part to play.
  1. Machree
  2. Glory Fighter
  3. Our Little Pony
