Has gone close to breaking his duck, went very close over 9½f here in February. Blinkers tried now, drop back in trip probably not an issue and has chances in a weak event. Change of headgear today.
Best effort to date came over 10f at Lingfield in June of last year but he was beaten 40l on his reappearance at Bath earlier in the month, and on that alone, is best watched here.
Showed a bit of promise in four starts to date, but there's been a few absences and he's clearly not easy to train. This trip might suit, visor tried now but has another long absence to overcome today, and is surely best watched.
Has some form on this surface (in a better grade than this) and returned to form when a staying-on third at Chepstow last time. Step up to this trip may suit, and on what appears a good mark, could be very dangerous.
Poor at Doncaster last time but was awkwardly away, and that run best forgiven. Caught the eye when fifth here on reappearance and if she can build on that, she looks a major player here, with more improvement to come.
Seems to have gone backwards in three starts for this yard, inclding when well held on reappearance earlier in the month. Yard still in no great form and easily enough opposed today.
Better effort in his first handicap last time out, tried to make all over a mile at Lingfield but was caught late on, dropped to third. May well try similar tactics here and if he can build on that effort than he has chances.
Placed here a couple of times last year but he's not progressing, and has thrown in a couple of very moderate efforts since the resumption of racing. Possible that soft ground last time didn't suit, and return to this venue may help, but is risky.
Wasn't going anywhere quickly until putting in a much better effort at Bath on latest start, staying on well late to grab second. That came after wind surgery, so may now move forward again, and she cannot be discounted.
Moderate form shown after six starts and appeared to take a bit of a backward sstep on first start for this yard at Newcastle in March. Not seen since, so may need the run, and he's best watched today.
Had the seven starts but not really progressing and despite trying new headgear a coupel of times, it was only a moderate run at Chelmsford last time, despite not getting best of runs. May be better over shorter and profile isn't rock solid.
Forecasts
Lexington Warfare (7/2), Noble Account (9/2), Olivers Pursuit (6/1), Exciting Days (6/1), Alianne (7/1), Zest Of Zambia (7/1), Bartimaeus (16/1), Hong Kong Dragon (16/1), Mister Dependable (18/1), Dark Poet (40/1), Scottish Blade (80/1)
Exciting Days looks sure to try and repeat the tactics that saw him put in a better effort at Lingfield last time, and he can't be allowed an easy lead. Noble Account almost won here back in February and a return to this track, plus a change of headgear to keep him interested, might be the catalysts for a better effort, but ALIANNE really caught the eye when coming home strongly over 7f here last month (and that after finding trouble) and a return to Wolverhampton, and a step up to a mile, can see her home in front.
- Alianne
- Noble Account
- Exciting Days
