Twice-raced maiden. Never able to land a telling blow in either starts, regressing when beaten 11L at Navan (5f) last time. Faces an uphill task in this.

Is related to plenty of winners, and made subtle progression when 5L sixth in Dundalk maiden (5f) earlier this month. Has work to do on form but improvement could come.

Sent off 22/1 on debut and never really landed a telling blow when 11th of 16 at Navan (5f) at the start of the month. Needs ample improvement based on that.

Two promising runs to date. Third behind improving handicapper on debut in December and occupied same position when beaten 1L at Dundalk (6f) last time. Absent since March but goes on the shortlist.

Doesn't look to be one of the most taking horses with two no shows to date, including when beaten 28L by smart horse in 1m contest here last month. Drastically down in trip but limited appeal.

Two starts to date have yielded very little. Towards the rear and never a factor when 17L seventh at Leopardstown (1m) latest and is easily passed over in this.

Shamardal gelding. Not well supported on debut and ran accordingly when 24L 14th at Naas (6f) in March. Subsequently changed hands so hard to gauge what he will do.
8

Horse silk
10/3
Has shaped with promise in both starts to date, including when close-up fourth at Navan (5f) earlier this month. Easily more progression could come and ticks a lot of boxes.

By top sire Dark Angel. First foal to unraced dam who is a half-sister to 1m2f winner Louversey. Hails from family of Group 1 winners Most Improved and Ectot. Market check advised.

Zebedee gelding. Had gelding operation during the winter but didn't have desired effect when 14th on return at Navan (5f) this month. Can only be watched at present.

Already placed four time despite remaining a maiden and showed well-being when second in Navan maiden (5f) on latest start. Should be bang in the mix if replicating that.

Horse silk
150/1
Has already been rank outsider in both her starts to date and ran accordingly. Latest 15L 13th at Navan (5f) puts her firmly up against it with rivals re-opposing.

66/1
Hallowed Crown filly. Looked to be one to be watched on debut but never threatened when sixth at Navan (5f) on debut. Other rivals have more pressing claims.

Morrone17

Outsider for both of her two starts and not yielded any promise each time. Latest 15L defeat at Navan (5f) puts her well behind the re-opposing rivals she faces.

Na Blianta Beo32
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: K J Manning| T: J S Bolger| OR:  92
4/5
Remains a maiden after four starts but is getting the hang of things. Fourth in a Listed race two starts ago was followed up by neck second at Naas (6f) so no shock if she can go on again.
17
(16)
Horse silk
150/1
Tagula filly whose dam showed plenty of speed (winner over 5f). Well down the field on debut at Navan (5f) last month and little to suggest there is improvement to come.

(1)
Horse silk
11/1
Thrice-raced maiden whose form book is already a bit in and out. Good effort when 4L sixth at Naas (6f) four days and some place claims if quickly replicating that.

Verdict

Form lines look set to be closely tied in in this contest, and preference is for I AM THUNDER to get off the mark. He has looked progressive from each start to date and fared best of the re-opposing rivals in that Navan maiden. There is no reason why he cannot confirm that form. Boundless Power has similarly done nothing wrong in his two starts, but he has been off since March and may improve from this, and neither has Na Blianta Beo, who is starting to get the hang of things now. The same can be applied to Call Of The Jungle, while Mudawy is an interesting debutante given his top-level pedigree and connections.
  1. I Am Thunder
  2. Na Blianta Beo
  3. Call Of The Jungle
