Getting more and more unreliable/untrustworthy by the minute having blown the start in a big way on both outings for this yard. Had refused to race on final run for David Elsworth, useful handicapper on his day but those days are few now.

Lingfield (1m) AW maiden winner last year; returned to action with a creditable turf debut at Yarmouth (1m, good/firm). Underperformed over the same C&D since (in a stronger race), conditions not suitable for her run style, type to bounce back.

Produced a totally different performance on second start for this yard, winning a big-field handicap at Doncaster (1m) easily. Lightly-raced, this will be the first time he's run more than twice In a year, up 6lb, capable of getting involved.

Not easy to win with (last success came in 2017), a frustrating type having shaped better than the bare result on return then failing to build on that last time. Obviously on a good mark but hard to recommend given his overall profile.

Promise shown in his second start this year (Kempton, 1m) wasn't backed-up last time when he flopped at Newbury over the same trip. Interesting off this mark if he were to get a well-run race, needs everything to fall into place at the right time.

3yo who is getting better run-by-run without looking massively progressive having posted another sound effort in a Kempton 1m handicap last time off 3lb lower. This requires a little more but would be worth keeping an eye on in the market.

Arrives with something to prove having looked backward on handicap debut last time failing to beat a rival over 7f. That was his first run of the season so every right to look rusty but he has failed to build on his promising debut as yet.

Dual 2yo winner at up to 7f (including in debut), failed to fire this term after a wind op with just one run suggesting some promise. Possibly unsuited by conditions last time at Newbury over this trip but hard to make too many excuses for.

Plenty to like about his two maiden efforts this year, steps into handicaps on an upward trajectory having failed to stay at Leicester (1m2f) last time. This return to 1m off a fair mark will suit, he remains with potential, a leading candidate.

Didn't quite live up to the promise of his Ripon 6f 2yo win in the remainder of juvenile season, little going right on his final start of last year. Showed very little on his return (attracted support), good pedigree, could be better than he's shown.

C&D winner who finally took advantage of a much-reduced mark to score at Leicester (8.2f, good/firm) last time, displayed a good attitude. Up 3lb he now has to back that run up having come off a long losing sequence, this looks tougher.

Fair sort but 0-9, proved himself at this trip on second start for this yard prior to flopping last time on AW/Chelmsford (well held in midfield). Form of his previous run has been boosted, visor now on first time, not totally dismissed.

Verdict

The answer to this 1m handicap is expected to lie within the 3yo group with AHDAB leading the way on handicap debut. He’s been given a very workable mark based on his two starts this year with this drop back to 1m looking in his favour based on pedigree. Of the others in that age group the steadily improving Jalwan needs keeping an eye on for any positive market vibes while Silver Mission could be better than he’s shown of late. Turntable after his Doncaster win can’t be ignored with Hold Still potentially interesting off a falling mark if he got a fast pace to run at.
