Ran exclusively over hurdles recently, and was last seen finishing tailed off in 2m novice hurdle at this venue in January. Returns to Flat in hot enough contest. Looked over.

Ran once when struggling for Mark Johnson and ran to worse level when beaten 35L in Newcastle novice (1m) last month. Plenty to find and drastically up in trip.

Has fine mix of Flat and national hunt class in his pedigree and showed glimpses of promise when sixth at Kempton (1m4f) on debut in January. Absent since. Not without hope.

Golden Horn colt. Made promising enough debut when 4L sixth behind smart sort at Newmarket (1m) in October. Has a top pedigree so not to be dismissed.

Teofilo colt. Sent off 100/1 and made a modest enough debut when 12L fifth at Chepstow (1m4f) eight days ago. That form isn't the strongest however and others make more appeal.

Bred to be very smart (dam was a top level winner). Made modest enough debut when 6L sixth at Kempton (1m2f) in June, but yard's types tend to come on significantly. Considered.

Golden Horn homebred. Half-sister to seven winners, including Opera Gloves (1m3f), Grade 2 chase winner Three Kingdoms and Ivoire (Brazilian Group 1 winner). Interesting sort on debut for powerful connections.

Bred to be smart and showed plenty of likeable signs on debut when 1L third at Newbury (1m2f) this month. Has the scope to improve greatly for powerful connections.

Sea Of Style (6/5), Solar Screen (7/4), Tyson Fury (3/1), Dusk (6/1), Ispahan (8/1), Kashi (12/1), Gold Ribbon (16/1), Theocrat (66/1), Kuredu (66/1), Hajey (200/1), Jaxlight (200/1)

Verdict

This looks a hot novice which includes some well-bred prospects. The form standard is set by Tyson Fury, who impressed plenty on his debut over C&D last month but will need to prove that isn't a fluke under a penalty. If so, he could be a class prospect. The fillies' Dusk and Sea Of Style are bred to be solid performers and had a lot to like about the debut runs, especially the latter, who could thrive further at this trip. The preference is for SOLAR SCREEN to break his maiden tag however. He has a regal pedigree and his debut effort suggested middle-distance races are where he will thrive.
