€58,000 purchase has shown plenty promise in all three maidens, including 1L second of 14 at Limerick (1m4f, good; 7-1) last month; an opening mark of 80 is far from a gift but has to be on the shortlist with scope for better.
AW winner in Britain before faltering on the Flat in the spring of 2019; first run for 314 days when midfield (beaten 9L) at the Curragh (1m4f, good; 10-1) on debut for these connections and no surprise if coming forward from that effort.
Won a maiden hurdle at Musselburgh on first start after joining this trainer in January 2019 and also second in Grade 2 novice afterwards; not seen since two below-par runs at Dundalk in December and makes first start in a handicap now.
Had dropped close to winning mark prior to recent second at Roscommon (1m2f, heavy; 16-1); might have finished close bar missing the break and will have each-way claims with a similar showing from 3lb higher.
Reliable performer, doesn't win often (1-14) but rarely runs a bad race and once again beaten only 1L into third on reappearance at Fairyhouse (1m4f, good; 11-4f) last month. Just 1lb higher now and liable to be in thick of things.
Winner at Bellewstown (1m4f, good; 7-1) last summer off a mark of 64, though that wasn't the strongest event; well held since including on comeback this month at Sligo and handicapper seemingly still has him cornered.
Just the one previous success on turf (amid 3-33 record overall) and that came over 2m in Britain back in 2018; yet to spark for this handler and reappearance at Roscommon recently offered little encouragement.
Three wins in 2019 for the Dandy Man filly, two on turf including over this trip at Fairyhouse last July; twice run well since returning to action and should give another solid account with Ben Coen up.
Fair return over hurdles recently and would have standout claims if reproducing form of Musselburgh third last August over this trip; far from a reliable conveyance however and so questions remain to be answered; promising jockey booking.
Maiden winner at Tipperary last summer over shorter; handicap form less pleasing and well held in two recent runs having joined this trainer; tongue-tie on and tackling this distance for the first time.
Rip Van Winkle mare going the right way in three runs for new trainer and shed maiden tag at the Curragh (1m4f, yielding; 3-1) earlier this month; 10lb rise for that success is perhaps harsh.
Won a mile maiden at Dundalk on second start in January and good third on h'cap bow at Fairyhouse (1m2f, good; 12-1) last month; that represents solid form and appeals up in trip for in-form yard on these terms.
Consistent three-time winner on the Flat (rated 73 at best); well held in three recent starts before running as market suggested in maiden hurdle at Gowran Park on Monday. Others with more going for them.
Ex-Dermot Weld inmate, tailed off 100-1 chance on reappearance/stable bow at Roscommon (1m2f, heavy) this month (may not have relished the ground); only of interest should market be in favour.
Better horse on AW (3-5) than he is on turf (0-10); though did shape with some promise over C&D recently and not inconceivable he'll get involved from 2lb lower with first-time cheekpieces to aid cause.
Maiden has been competitive in pair of 1m2f handicaps here recently and remains with scope for better; unexposed over this trip and excellent booking in Mikey Sheehy. Considered.
18-1 winner of good-ground C&D h'cap last month off a mark of 51 and showed that was no fluke by going close (½L second) at Bellewstown (1m6f, yielding; 10-3) next time. Fair third over hurdles since and likely continues to go well from 3lb higher.
Forecasts
Mr Mooj (7/4), Place Des Vosges (6/1), Moktamel (6/1), Liquid Luck (15/2), Dollar Value (9/1), Shake A Leg (10/1), Lyrical Attraction (14/1), Malbas (16/1), Monoxide (20/1), Spelga (20/1), Acclamatio (28/1), Maricruz (33/1), Hannon (33/1), Azakan (66/1), Sam Missile (80/1), Aurora Moon (80/1), Royal Admiral (100/1)
Place Des Vosges opened her account at the Curragh recently in good style but she appears to have been hit with quite a harsh 10lb rise and that should make things tough against some useful rivals. Liquid Luck chased home a fine prospect at Limerick and has to be of some interest now switching to handicaps but MR MOOJ is the one that appeals most. He was a good third on h'cap bow recently at Fairyhouse when having to make up plenty ground late. This longer trip looks a smart move from an in-form yard and he's got more to come. Dollar Value is in good tune and joins Shake A Leg and Maricruz as place players.
