Improved for the drop to 5f when runner-up at Chepstow (5f; good). The winner of that contest hasn't been disgraced in 'Listed' company since so the form looks strong. Return to 7f is an interesting move and he is a key player.

Steps up a furlong in trip after finishing a modest eighth on debut at Thirsk (6f; good). Vastly more needed on that evidence, and a watching brief should be maintained for the time being.
Tailed off last of four on debut at Doncaster (7f; good to soft) last month. Major improvement required off the back of that, and can only be watched for the time being until showing vastly more promise.

Bumped into an impressive winner when runner-up at Musselburgh (7f; good). Six-length clear of the third though, so it was still a decent effort. Leading player if able to progress again, with the yard operating at a steady strike-rate (8-45; 18%).

Finished in front of Listen Again when fourth at Newcastle (7f; standard). That was a good step forward from modest debut effort, but more needed again if he is to play a leading role in this contest.

Looked in desperate need of the experience on debut at Thirsk (7f; good). Plenty more required off the back of that, and the yard haven't had a winner for nearly three weeks (eight runners in that time).

Didn't show any improvement from low-key debut effort when finishing seventh again in a modest event at Newcastle (7f; good). May be one more for handicaps, so she is opposed for the time being.

Pride Of Dubai filly cost £15,000 as a two-year-old. Half-sister to a 7f/1m winner in the Czech Republic, but a watching brief is advised with this newcomer.

Sent off 50-1 and never managed to cause much trouble on her debut at Redcar (7f; good to firm) recently. Would need to improve markedly on that effort and others have more solid form in the book.

Myboymax (7/4), Master Of Brazil (3/1), Infant Hercules (16/5), Brazen Prince (11/1), It's A Green Thing (12/1), Topper Bill (14/1), Vindobala (40/1), Eagle Eyed Freddie (50/1), Lady Bond (50/1), Make A Spark (100/1)

Verdict

There are three key players in this race who are clear of the rest on form. One of those is Myboymax who returns to 7f despite posting a better effort over the minimum trip last time. The filly he finished second to that day has gone onto finish second herself in a 'Listed' contest at York. Despite being turned over at odds-on last time, Master Of Brazil is another one with strong claims as he makes his turf debut. The first-time cheekpieces may yield further progress out of him. However, preference is for INFANT HERCULES who pulled well clear of the third when bumping into an all the way winner last time. He can go one better this time round given the form looks strong.
  1. Infant Hercules
  2. Myboymax
  3. Master Of Brazil
