Got to go back to 2018 for last win and has been through the hands of a few trainers since then too. Modest stuff last year but at least takes a drop in grade today, which may help. Trip/ground fine.
Looked to have a good future ahead of him when successful three times over fences early in career, but it's been downhill for some while now. Drops in grade today but that's just not enough to tempt you in.
Modest form in four hurdles starts and then never showed on chase debut at Wincanton last October. Not seen since but early days with him and yard now starting to fire after slow start, so of some interest.
Model of consistency in this grade, and gained a deserved win for his efforts when scoring easily at Hexham last September. Has a course win to his name here too, and despite the advancing years, should give a good show if fit.
2017 was the last time he visited the winners enclosure but retains his ability, often travels well before weakening late. Hard to catch right, then, but conditions fine and he could give a decent showing if fit after absence.
C&D winner off a 3lb lower mark if you go back far enough but like many here, has found winning hard and wasn't up to much when last seen out in the spring. Small break may have helped but he's clearly risky.
Bumper winner here on debut (for Gavin Cromwell) but not repeated that in 11 starts since. However, was a close third over C&D in a chase a couple of years back, and looked back to best when out in the spring. Big player here.
Some promise in novice hurdles but didn't carry that over to fences when tried over them last winter. However, both starts on heavy ground, which may not have suited, and a lot better might be expected on better ground tonight.
Still a maiden after 20 starts, which immediately shows you the issue. Has hit the frame plenty of times in chases but he's not getting any younger, and it'll be a surprise if he's good enough tonight.
Still a maiden after 28 starts and although there's the odd chase start that might give you some hope here, he was well beaten on the Flat earlier in the month, and there are surely more likely winners.
Had a better time of it last winter, hitting the frame in three low-grade handicap chases but he's another long-standing maiden that always finds something to beat him. Place chances at best if fit after absence.

Forecasts
Our Lucas (7/2), Lake Baikal (5/1), Vino's Choice (5/1), Agentleman (6/1), Felix Mendelssohn (7/1), Elixer (7/1), Roll Of Thunder (15/2), Sword Of Fate (12/1), Plan Of Escape (14/1), Chain Of Beacons (16/1), Cool Valley (22/1), Go Guarantor (40/1)
This has the potential to be messy, with no guaranteed front runner, and the fact most of these find winning hard only adds to the caution with which the race needs treating. VINO'S CHOICE has been given a real chance by the handicapper on historic form and given he was only beaten a neck over hurdles when last seen out in February, the engine appears intact. He's worth chancing. Plan Of Escape hasn't shown a lot as yet but heavy ground was probably no use to him for either of his chase starts last year and he could do a lot better here. Roll Of Thunder is more likely to run his race than a few and can take a prize home.
