Winner of two of his 11 Flat starts on turf, the gelding was last seen jumping a hurdle in March 2019. May find this trip on the quick side these days.
Shaped well on return to action in a Leopardstown 1m4f handicap earlier this month finishing sixth of the 16 runners. Has struggled overall from current mark since a win at Down Royal last August off a 9lb lower mark.
Well beaten in a couple of starts since first career victory at Fairyhouse last month. Still racing 7lb higher than last winning mark should be a concern.
Has struggled in a couple of starts in October/November since winning on second career start in a Listowel 1m4f maiden in September. Plenty more needed on return to action here.
Alluding to a big run in a couple of starts since racing resumed last month. Short of room at Limerick before finishing second of 14 behind the well touted, Elizabethofaragon at Leopardstown earlier this month. Holds leading claims.
C&D winner who has been running gallant and genuine races on the AW at Dundalk over the winter. One win from 13 Flat starts on turf and may need this run on first start since January.
Beaten favourite on seasonal and stable debut at Roscommon last month, before disappointing once again in a Roscommon 1m5f handicap. Out of sorts recently and this looks a tough ask.
Daughter of Famous Name out of a Imperial Ballet mare. Well held and never nearer in three career starts so far in October/November last year. Well below-par form looks set to continue.
104-rated handicap hurdler, off the mark on the Flat at the fourth time of asking landing a Kilarney 1m6f handicap earlier this month off a 3lb lower mark. Liable to launch another bold bid.
Useful 101-rated handicap hurdler but has shown very little ability in three career starts on the Flat, including when last of 14 at Leopardstown earlier this month.
Solid 118-rated handicapper over the larger obstacles. Five race maiden on turf, ran well in defeat at Fairyhouse last month, finishing 2L adrift of Oromo. Can go well but more needed.
Recently seen since racing resumed on the Flat and jumping a hurdle at Kilbeggan last month, well beaten on each occasion. Pleasing effort on latest start at Killarney earlier this month over 1m6f. Place claims.
Yet to hit the frame in eight starts but the lightly-raced Camelot gelding ran well in defeat in a bunch finish at the Curragh on return to action earlier this month. Needs to improve on even his best form to play a role.
Forecasts
Tirmizi (10/3), One In All In (4/1), Romantically (5/1), Kalanoura (11/2), The Abbey (9/1), Happy Company (11/1), L'Empathie (12/1), Maunganui (18/1), Castle Chase (22/1), Itsalonglongroad (22/1), Western Boy (25/1), Ollies Wish (50/1), Muhaafiz (66/1)
The Mick Halford-trained TIRMIZI can win for the fourth time in his career. The seven-year-old alluded to a big run in a couple of starts since racing resumed last month. Short of room at Limerick before finishing second of 14 behind the well touted, Elizabethofaragon at Leopardstown earlier this month, the gelding can get the better of the Gordon Elliott-trained The Abbey who is the likely threat. In a race where few may get in to it, C&D winner Itsalonglongroad and Maunganui can compete for remaining prize money.
- Tirmizi
- The Abbey
- Maunganui
