Has won fresh before (on stable debut last year) but shaped as if needing the run this time at Doncaster (6f, good/firm). Never involved that run was probably in a grade higher than she needs, will appreciate this return to a 0-60 and 7f.

Gained quick compensation for a poor run when badly positioned over C&D last time making use of a favourable mark with headgear left off this time (all wins without). 4lb penalty to contend with this time, not hard to see him playing his part again.

Shaped really nicely on his seasonal/stable debut at Musselburgh (1m, good) with the trip perhaps just testing his stamina a little too much. Went well from the front, ought to appreciate this return to 7f with cheekpieces used for the first-time.

Well supported behind Lagenda last time over C&D he still wasn't able to lose his maiden tag (0-13). His overall profile is one of who is hard to win with and whilst he should give another good account others appeal more.

One of four 3yo's in the field she hardly looks a progressive type having attracted support over 7.2f on the AW last time. Didn't look an easy ride on previous occasions (races off the pace), work to do with these on turf debut.

Fair maiden when trained in France, it's hard to say he's progressed since being switched to GB and this yard. Hinted at a minor revival last time in a first-time tongue-tie. First try at 7f off a falling mark, hard to enthuse over though.

Yet to win a race and went backwards from his reappearance run on the back of a wind op last time over 7f at Thirsk. Had looked of interest prior to that despite his lack of a victory, cheekpieces return, lurks off a dangerous mark.

No surprise to see him step forward from his previous runs when making his handicap debut over C&D off this mark against his own age group. No surprise to see him get involved again here although this looks a slightly tougher assignment.

May well have needed the run after nine-months off when making his handicap debut last time at Catterick over 6f. Eased 4lb from that outing (finished well held), still doesn't look that well treated, others of more interest.

Dual course winner over 6f those wins coming in a purple patch in 2018 since when the losing sequence has continued to grow despite some creditable efforts. Looks in good heart at the moment, more likely to flatter to deceive than win.

Fair sort in handicaps at one time but very much on a regressive path nowadays and not one to trust despite having a much-reduced mark to work with. Ran poorly in first-time blinkers at Musselburgh (7.2f, good) last time, limited appeal.

Maiden, well held in three maiden/minor events and et to show any real ability at up to 1m. Hard to think that she will make any great strides forward on handicap debut on the evidence so far.

Forecasts

Aliento (9/2), Lagenda (9/2), Jack Randall (5/1), Swinging Eddie (11/2), Hachert (6/1), Jessie Allan (7/1), Vivacious Spirit (11/1), Anna Maria (12/1), Jungle Book (12/1), Quercus (28/1), Exchequer (FR) (40/1), Robben Rainbow (100/1), Requinto's Rose (100/1)

Verdict

The form that Lagenda showed when winning here last time if repeated under a 4lb penalty should be good enough to see him go close again especially with the headgear left off again (all wins without any on), he should hold Jessie Allan and Swinging Eddie once more. JACK RANDALL makes more appeal though with a run under his belt and a return to 7f looking very much in his favour with the cheekpieces on for the first time. Aliento back in this grade enters the argument as does Hachert who looks the best of the 3yo’s. One who should be watched in the market is Vivacious Spirit who is yet to win a race but sits on a dangerous mark.
