Career has been blighted by setbacks since win at Meydan in 2017. A no show in two starts this term including in 6f handicap here last time and of no real interest for this.
In consistent form over the winter and spring on the AW and running with some credit this term. Latest 5L C&D fifth puts him within a shout of place claims.
Sole win in career came in France in 2018 and only raced three times in Ireland. Well beaten 28L in 1m Navan handicap 10 days ago and others have more appealing profiles.
Lost her way when trained in France and subsequently snapped up by new connections for 1,500 gns in December. Has a lot to prove on form but market may guide in this.
Winner over 6f here last term before seemingly struggling off higher marks, but put up markedly improved performance when second in 5f Navan handicap this month. Up 2lb but capable off this mark.
Last encouraging effort came on the beach at Leopardstown and returned this season in poor form. Latest 12L 12th at Naas (7f) suggests plenty more is required now.
Threatened some big handicap performances this season already and culminated that with 3L victory in Sligo handicap (5f) at the start of the month. Takes a 9lb hike but still could be a hefty improver.
Unexposed being a four-race maiden. Regressed from encouraging return effort when 6L eighth in weak Fairyhouse handicap (6f) two weeks ago and already looks vulnerable in this company.
Very lightly raced for his age but was seen to good effect last season. Solid second over C&D when last seen in October and has gone well fresh before. Shortlisted.
Went on a winning roll at the start of the season, scoring twice on the bounce but found wanting off higher mark when 5L fifth at Naas (5f) last month. May be in the grip of the handicapper now.
Registered a ninth turf victory when game winner at Fairyhouse (6f) two starts ago but struggled off 6lb higher mark when fifth at that track last time. Off the same mark so gets little respite in the weights.
Thrice-raced maiden. Best effort came when behind Irish Oaks fancy Cayenne Pepper in June 2019 but regressed when eighth on seasonal return at Gowran (7f) last month. Plenty to prove on handicap bow.
Maiden who has already been highly tried this season in four starts. Very hard to judge value of form though and recent 6L eighth at Navan (5f) demands much more.
Better AW performer who is yet to win on the turf. Was a no show on most recent start at Dundalk (5f) in March and looks to face a tough task from the bottom of the weights.
Forecasts
Miacomet (10/3), Pulse Of Shanghai (9/2), Aloysius Lilius (9/2), Powersville (13/2), Snow Patch (9/1), Boughtinthedark (10/1), Plough Boy (16/1), Sasvana (16/1), Arnhem (18/1), Twenty Minutes (22/1), Elzaamone (28/1), Mandolin Wind (33/1), Juyush (50/1), Acolyte (50/1)
It isn't the strongest of handicaps to end proceedings, which gives MIACOMET a chance to get back on the scoreboard. She has not been too harshly treated for her narrow reverse at Navan last time and does typically take time with races at the start of the season. With that in mind and her previous course winning form, she looks well set. Powersville is the obvious improver in the race given her encouraging efforts this season, but a 9lb rise may just halt that, while the likes of Aloysius Lilius and Pulse Of Shanghai have contrasting profiles that could see them be similarly dark horses in this contest, with the latter notably going well when fresh.
- Miacomet
- Aloysius Lilius
- Pulse Of Shanghai
