Multiple winner on turf/AW, largely over 5f and including on good to soft. 1lb lower than his last two successes here, and that could open the door to a better effort than we have seen in three runs this season.
Six-time scorer over 5f-6f, his two turf successes being on good ground (handles good to soft). Scored from this mark on AW last October, on his final start for Robert Cowell, but well held in both runs for this trainer, so has a bit to prove.
Has won four times over the minimum trip and acts on soft ground. Back on a mark 1lb lower than his latest success at Ayr 13-months ago, and arrives in decent form. Should be very competitive.
Multiple 5f winner, including on soft ground. Scored from a mark 4lb higher than this last year, but hasn't been at that level since then. However, has enough form to suggest that she might now get more competitive again from this receding mark.
Reeled off a four-timer last season (all 5f) and is now back on a mark 1lb lower than the last of that quartet. Hasn't yet got close to that sort of form this season, but we may begin to see more from him again now.
Triple winner over 5f-6f, all with 'soft' in the going description. Has been suffering at the hands of the assessor since his latest win at Hamilton last September, and needs to step up on what we saw when he was 7L second here last time.
Triple 5f winner, including on soft. Arrives in good form after a very competitive third at Bath (5f, good) from this mark last time, and should be thereabouts.
Multiple winner over 5f-6f, with all three of his turf wins having come at Ascot. Better on AW than turf these days and is hard to make a case for on his recent turf form.
Won a soft ground Cork maiden (7f) in 2018, and has continued to produce his best efforts since then when there has been cut in the ground. Has lost his way this season, but back on a very handy mark now if cheekpieces can revive him.
Has won 14 of his 140 starts, but is only 1-40 on turf. Has gone close on his last two starts on this surface, at Musselburgh and Hamilton, and can't rule him out of the money from this mark.
Recorded the most recent of his four wins at Beverley in 2018. Goes well on slow ground, and was competitive from this mark at Thirsk last month. Disappointed at Hamilton last time, but not written off.
Triple winner over 5f-6f, two of them on good to soft. Back on a very handy mark, but needs to be much better than he has shown in two starts so far this campaign.

Forecasts
Autumn Flight (5/1), Iconic Knight (11/2), Tabaahy (6/1), Canford Bay (7/1), Lathom (7/1), Van Gerwen (15/2), Dapper Man (10/1), Red Stripes (11/1), Machree (11/1), Jewel Maker (11/1), Gamesome (12/1), Moonraker (28/1), Zamjar (33/1)
A tricky race to solve and the suggestion is to take a chance on JEWEL MAKER, who goes well on soft ground, has slipped to a very handy mark, and could be galvanised by the fitting of cheekpieces. Lathom looks likely to be a danger, while Machree, Dapper Man and Iconic Knight can all have cases made.
- Jewel Maker
- Lathom
- Machree
