Filly by New Bay out of a Rail Link mare. Cost €15,000 as a yearling. Third over C&D on debut 18 days ago (11-4) and winner not disgraced since in a Group 3. Contender.
Cost €7000 as a foal; no major appeal on pedigree and down the field on debut in a maiden at the Curragh (6f, yielding; 66-1) last week.
Daughter of Adaay out of a Rock Of Gibraltar mare. Closely related to a number of winners; beaten 25L on debut at Bellewstown (1m, yielding; 125-1) and drop in trip not certain to bring about improvement.
Well held in both starts at Naas (5f, good to firm; 11-1) and Roscommon (7½f, heavy; 6-1) recently; stable seemingly have more pressing claims with Amber Kite.
€64,000 foal, 200,000 gns yearling; half-sister to eight winners up to 1m inc Bayleyf (6f-7f inc 2yo), Shostakovich (6f inc 2yo/Fibresand) and Hard Yards (7f-1m; Ire/HK); lively newcomer for Ado McGuinness and commands a close look.
The Gurkha filly, cost €250,000 as a yearling; hasn't managed to justify expectations in three runs recently over 5f-1m on varying ground; hails from top connections and should do better before too long.
Second foal; dam 2yo maiden from 6f-7f, half-sister to winners Jack The Laird (5f AW), Party Island (7f) and Intense Effort (UAE 6f/1m) out of 1m3½f-1m4f winner.
By The Gurkha; dam French 1m4½f winner, closely related to 1m-1m6f Flat/very smart 2m-2m5f hurdle winner Parlour Games out of 1m4f Group 1 (Irish and Yorkshire Oaks) winner. Noted debutante for top yard.
By Adaay; half-sister to German/French 1m1f-1m2f winner Laquyood; dam 7½f/1m winner, half-sister to Group-placed 6f-7f winner Dafeef, is granddaughter of 1m Listed winner/Vermeille second Etizaaz.
Power filly; dam placed 1m4½f, closely related to smart 1m2f/1m4½f winner Changingoftheguard, half-sister to 6f 2yo winner Inca Princess (dam of 7f 2yo Group 1 winner Johannes Vermeer) out of Ribblesdale/Park Hill winner. Yard in good form.
€1,000 yearling; dam useful 1m4f winner, half-sister to Listed-placed 1m2f winner Nurture, is granddaughter of Prix de Diane winner Sil Sila. Others more likely here.
Dragon Pulse filly out of a Compton Place mare. Closely related to That's Crazy, winner over 1m4f in France. Yards debutantes often come on for first run.
Oasis Dream filly out of a Choisir mare. Cost £65,000 as a yearling; fifth of seven on debut at Navan (5½f, yielding; 14-1) when beaten around 4L. Could be more to come up in trip.
Forecasts
Amber Kite (5/2), Himalayan Beauty (4/1), Dress Kode (11/2), Winter Oasis (6/1), Faraah (13/2), Finest (15/2), Omakase (16/1), Mirage More (20/1), Tullypole Annie (40/1), Get Noticed (50/1), Clara's Approach (100/1), Picpoul (100/1), Cornice (200/1)
Finest hails from a top yard and should be able to get on the board soon but she has underwhelmed in three starts so far. The drop in trip may aid her but preference is for AMBER KITE. She was third over C&D on debut 18 days ago and won't be far away with normal improvement from that effort. Winter Oasis can build on her debut at Navan (fourth) while newcomers Himalayan Beauty and Omakase command further inspection.
