11-race maiden who went close to winning on his handicap debut (7f, AW) in 2018, when 15lb higher, but has been unable to get anywhere near that level of form in the past couple of years. Best form has been on AW, so plenty to prove.
Dual winner over 1m (soft) and 1m2f (good to firm) and is 2lb lower than his latest win at Haydock in spring 2019. Has been a long way below that level in all but one run since. Cheekpieces go on, but needs to be a lot better than last time out.
Triple winner at up to 1m1f and is versatile regarding the ground. Has a squeak based on his penultimate run at Redcar (7f, good) last month, but he is another who needs to be much better than he was last time.
Completed a hat-trick (all at Chelmsford over 1m-1m2f) last year, the last of them being from a 6lb higher mark. Handicapper then took control, but he has been coming back to form recently and went close over C&D last time. Visored. Contender.
Multiple AW winner over 6f-7f and also scored over 6f on turf at Windsor (good to firm) four years ago. On a handy mark based on AW form, but is unreliable on turf and this trip stretches his stamina, so carries risks if you plan to get involved.
Was a promising juvenile last season when with Roger Varian. Would have a great chance if able to reproduce the form of her nursery debut at Thirsk in September, but well below that level since, leaving her with plenty to prove.
Finished last of 12 on her only run for James Tate, and has gone off a huge odds and been well beaten on both starts for this trainer. Initial mark looks stiff if taking that form literally, so she needs plenty of improvement.
Poor maiden who has beaten just one opponent home in four starts. Blinkers appeared to have no positive effect at Chepstow last time. Can only watch.

Forecasts
Compass Point (6/4), Straight Ash (4/1), Bristol Missile (4/1), Exotic Escape (9/2), Revolutionary Man (7/1), Kodiline (8/1), Topkapi Star (12/1), Divine Queen (20/1), Escape To Oz (33/1), Blue Battalion (50/1)
On the face of it this shouldn't take much winning, but at the same time it isn't easy to have confidence that any of the field will produce their optimum effort. Perhaps COMPASS POINT can do that, after two decent efforts last month, and with the fitting of a visor a potential positive. The fly in the ointment could be Topkapi Star, who was producing much better than most of the field this time last year, and despite her form tailing off, she may have a race like this in her. Bristol Missile, Straight Ash and Exotic Escape are others who could get involved.
- Compass Point
- Topkapi Star
- Exotic Escape
