Last win came over 7f at Chelmsford back in February but been nowhere near as effective since (including over C&D last time); still 4lb above that winning mark and his style of running does suggest another furlong suits him better these days.
Made little impact in four previous starts since joining this yard and didn't seem to relish the challenge when dropped back to this trip last time out. That was his first try over 6f since leaving Roger Charlton and did little to boost his profile.
C&D winner - from a 3lb lower mark - in mid-June and run respectably in defeat twice since. He's won from higher marks in the past and been victorious on good to soft before now; but drying ground would still be a help.
Held on for victory despite his rider dropping the reins in the dying strides over 7f at Leicester in June and has a chance of following up from just a 2lb higher mark. The drop in trip is a worry, however, as he hasn't tried 6f in over three years.
Finished just over 3L ahead of Pastfact at Windsor last month but unlucky to encounter another rival that was cherry ripe on the day. He's holding his form well and possible his turn is overdue. Good chance from 7lb below his last winning mark.
Finished fifth behind Pastfact over C&D two weeks ago but now 4lb better-off despite being only 1½L adrift at the line. He's a consistent type that retains the ability to swing a result his way. Last win on turf (C&D) was two years ago.
Was sixth here at the start of the month (Pastfact the winner, Kinglami was fifth) and also ran with credit on her seasonal reappearance at Haydock in June. Will be fitter this time and has two C&D wins to her name already; dangerous to rule out.
Very little to get excited about from the filly's previous eight runs; she's never made the frame, nor been popular enough in the betting to be sent off at a single-figure SP. It's not difficult to overlook her again.

Our Man In Havana (7/2), Peachey Carnehan (7/2), Castlerea Tess (9/2), Pastfact (5/1), Outer Space (13/2), Fantasy Justifier (7/1), Swissal (10/1), Kinglami (10/1), Brother Bentley (12/1), Imhotep (50/1), Disey's Edge (100/1)
OUR MAN IN HAVANA has been banging on the door lately and edges preference as the suggestion in a tight one to call. Pastfact has also been in good form and should be capable of another bold attempt, while Swissal, Kinglami and Peachey Carnehan have all shown a liking for this course and can be fancied to be thereabouts. Similar comments also apply to Castlerea Tess, who can also go close now that she's got the benefit of a couple recent outings behind her.
