Fair 21L fourth in a soft ground 2m handicap hurdle at Huntingdon in March. Changed stables since and is worth a check in the market stepping back up in distance.
Won and placed twice from three starts for Fergal O'Brien in 2019 including when 31L third over an extended 2m4f at Southwell (good) in June of that year. Interesting to see how he fares on debut for this yard.
Beaten 23L when finishing fifth over an extended 3m at Southwell (good) at the start of this month. Appeared not to stay the trip that day and is one to note in a first time tongue tie for a top yard.
Winner on the Flat at Kempton in October 2018 but has struggled in the main since including over hurdles three times last season. Making his handicap debut on first start since finishing ninth in a jumpers' bumper at Wolverhampton in February.
Eight race maiden was beaten 39L when seventh in a 3m handicap hurdle at Ludlow (soft) in February. Best form in novice/maiden company came on good ground and she is of interest dropping in trip on seasonal debut.
16 race maiden under all codes. Making his handicap and seasonal debut when falling at the first in a 2m event on good ground here last week and others make more appeal on this occasion.
Placed in a bumper and a four-year-old hurdle prior to finishing fourth in a maiden event over 2m1f at Exeter (soft) in March. Notable runner now switched to handicaps.
16 race maiden was beaten 56L when tenth in a 2m handicap hurdle at Warwick (good-to-soft) in February. Market support would be notable on his return to action.
Well held last of ten on soft ground in a maiden over an extended 1m at Hamilton at the end of last month. Interesting to see how he performs having won off much higher marks in the past.
Five race maiden finished well beaten in a heavy ground novice event over an extended 2m2f at Exeter in February. Visor tried for the first time on handicap debut.
Sole victory came in a good ground maiden hurdle at Tramore in June 2017. Making his debut for this yard with a tongue tie worn for the first time having had wind surgery since finishing 76L eighth at Kelso (2m, soft) in October last year.
Winner over an extended 2m4f at Southwell (good-to-soft) in June last year but failed to make an impact on four subsequent starts. Probably best watched on debut for this stable.
Forecasts
Magellan (11/4), Innerpickle (9/2), Chief Brody (13/2), Carpool (7/1), Notwhatiam (11/1), Freddy Fanatapan (12/1), California Soul (12/1), Phoebus Lescribaa (14/1), Raise Your Shades (16/1), Ishyaboi (20/1), Looking For Carl (22/1), Mi Laddo (80/1)
The drop back in trip can see MAGELLAN register a victory in division one of this handicap hurdle. The selection represents a top yard and can take this contest at the chief expense of Phoebus Lescribaa who is making his debut for a new stable having placed on his last two starts. Third place can go the way of Innerpickle who is open to improvement on handicap debut.
- Magellan
- Phoebus Lescribaa
- Innerpickle
