Came back from a very long absence to run the in-form Solo Saxophone to 2½l at Haydock last month (2m), a very credible effort. Up 2lb for that but conditions fine, and as long as this doesn't come too quickly, has a solid chance.
Have to go back to 2018 to find last success, and finished off last year quite weakly. Possible a break has done him good and conditions are ideal, so a better effort from a workable mark wouldn't surprise.
Only a couple of placings to show for his ten starts to date but it was a better effort on the all-weather at Kempton last month, staying on for fourth over a shorter trip. Might be more to come now stepping up again, and he has chances.
Some useful efforts over hurdles and translated that to the Flat at Lingfield on latest start, narrowly going down in a three-way finish. Tongue tie goes back on, conditions fine and evey chance of gaining recompense here.
Hard to win with at the best of times, and has ground to make up with one or two of these of her latest effort at Lingfield. Possible she's fitter for that, and handicapper starting to help out, so she's not discounted.
Looking very well handicapped these days but he's not been in any great form for some time, including when dropped to this level at Windsor last time. Step back up in trip may suit, but others are preffered.
Little form shown in three starts and was too keen for his own good at Kempton last time, so will need to settle better if he's to see out this longer trip on his hanidcap debut. Best watched.
Only the one win on the Flat to show for 15 efforts, that coming back in 2018, and he has ground to make up on High Wells on their Haydock run last month. Well handicapped, but that alone not enough to make him of interest here.
Useful form over hurdles if you go back far enough, but some very moderate efforts for the most part of last season mean that he's got plenty to prove tonight after an absence.
Only moderate form on first three starts but did much better when upped to 12f at Kempton on final start of last year, although it was only a low grade race. Possible there's better to come, but may be best watched on seasonal debut.
Only has the one win to his name after 21 runs to date, and although he stays this trip well and acts under most conditions, the handicapper has him exactly where he wants him and it'll be a surprise if something isn't better handicapped.
Yet to so much as hit the frame in nine starts and threw in a terrible effort at Lingfield (2m) when last seen back in March, so really not that hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

MR CHUA looked a useful recruit to hurdles last year and after a narrow defeat on the Flat at Lingfield last time, looks like making up into a useful dual-purpose sort for Michael Scudamore. The tonue-tie going back on and the booking of Oisin Murphy both catch the eye, and he's taken to come out on top. Peckinpah showed a bit more on his latest start and should appreciate a step up in trip, so may be the danger, High Wells bumped into the rejuvenated Solo Saxophone at Haydock and as long as he doesn't "bounce" on this second run back after an absence, can make his presence felt.
- Mr Chua
- Peckinpah
- High Wells
