Useful sprinter at his peak, seems a bit on the downgrade at present but two respectable efforts for new yard since racing resumed, and is perfectly at home on this surface. Handicapper doing all he can to help, and he has chances here.
Landed a touch at Wolverhampton last November, only seen once since then when a staying-on fifth over C&D last month. With that under his belt, should strip fitter and again, any money for him should be taken seriously.
Finiahed just in front of Inaam here last month but didn't build on that at Haydock next time, although conditions probably unsuitable. This is his level but a record of just 4 wins in 41 starts shows he's hard to catch right at the best of times.
In good form in the spring, winning one at Chelmsford and almost followed up over this C&D next time out. Seems in form after three starts since racing resumed and the harder they go up front, the better his chance late on.
Has a win and a couple of places to show for his efforts on this surface, but looked a bit awkward on first start for new yard ar Doncaster, well beaten at the death. Switch back to this surface may see a better effort.
Came back with a bang once racing resumed, winning back-to-back handicaps before disappointing at Chelmsford last time. Possible excuses can be found for that and this C&D winner can't be ruled out.
Just the one victory in 17 starts shows you he's no win machine, but he likes this surface and has put in some respectable efforts including on comeback here last month when looking in need of the run. Place chances if coming on from that.
Some good efforts on all-weather surfaces last winter but has come back from an absence with a couple of slightly disappointing runs on turf, well held when made favourite at Yarmouth last time. Drop back to 6f may help.
Looking very well handcapped on the best of his form but it's been a while since he showed anything approaching that, and this trip is probably on the short side for him regardless. Others readily make more appeal.
C&D winner in lower grade here last October and only 2lb higher today. Ran very well on reappearance at Windsor last week, beaten under a length in third, and looks about ready to strike again. Another with chances in an open race.
Forecasts
Lordsbridge Boy (3/1), Vegas Boy (10/3), Private Matter (6/1), Sepahi (15/2), Mr Buttons (9/1), Inaam (10/1), The Right Choice (12/1), Griggy (12/1), Sea Fox (20/1), Turn To Rock (22/1)
LORDSBRIDGE BOY faces little competiton for the lead and from stall 2, is drawn to attack and try and lead these from start to finish. He comes here in form after a solid effort last week, and with no problem with conditions, can score here. Griggy will be chasing him hard late on and might be next best, with Mr Buttons, Private Matter and Inaam can fight it out for the minor placings.
- Lordsbridge Boy
- Griggy
- Mr Buttons
