Won at just third time of asking when landing 7f Lingfield maiden in February. Making handicap debut latest when eighth of 10 at Windsor and will have to step up significantly on that effort.

Seven-race maiden finished midfield in two turf handicaps this term. Must improve for change of surface but dangerous to rule anything from this yard out at present.

Fourth of 10 and fifth of eight in warm looking HQ novice races (third latest won since) and could very easily prove well handicapped here so is a big player despite the draw.

C&D winner in final two-year-old start and although below that level on return back on this surface with fitness boosted he is a player just 3lb higher than the success.

Best effort by this handicap debutante came in second of three starts when only beaten 1L over C&D. Can't be ruled out here.

Only beaten ½L here in final two-year-old start and plenty to like about his staying on sixth of 14 under tender handling on return at Newmarket (7f). Big player now.

Back-to-back AW seconds at Chelmsford (1m) and Lingfield (1m2f) read really well here and although below par latest on turf he is a genuine contender here with the cheekpieces also a bonus.

Lightly raced filly not disgraced by any means when fifth of 13 on handicap debut over 7f at Chepstow. Longer trip may help and she's got each-way potential here.

Only had four starts so open to improvement but little in four starts to recommend involvement at this stage.

First three handicaps haven't gone at all well and last of 12 at Wolverhampton latest dampens any enthusiasm.

Minor potential in three starts to date in novice company but probably best watched on handicap bow unless the market says otherwise.

Third of 14 beaten 2¾L on handicap bow at Chelmsford over 7f latest. First try over 1m here and has to be taken seriously now.

Fourth in a blanker finish over C&D two races back (beaten a head) and only went down by ¾L over 1m2f at Newcastle since when third. Knocking at the door and another bold bid expected.

Midfield in handicap bow at Doncaster a basis to work on now but may need a couple more races before contending seriously.

Forecasts

Glen Esk (11/5), Late Arrival (6/1), Mayson Mount (7/1), Siberian Night (10/1), Mabre (11/1), Robert Guiscard (12/1), Today Power (12/1), Licit (12/1), Some Picture (22/1), Kashmirella (25/1), Alveda (25/1), Auditoria (25/1), I'm Digby (40/1), Game Over (40/1)

Verdict

Although he hasn't on the face of it achieved anything out of the ordinary in two starts on the Rowley Mile LATE ARRIVAL has faced some potentially smart rivals so he is fancied here in this considerably weaker race. There are no shortage of potential dangers though with Newmarket eye-catcher Glen Esk and twice second Today Power chief among them.
  1. Late Arrival
  2. Glen Esk
  3. Today Power
