One of two from this yard; showed much improved form on stable debut to break her maiden tag after nine-months off over 10f here. Effort did come rather out the blue in a weak contest this may prove a little more competitive.
Course winner over 7.2f, produced a career-best last time to open her account over 1m at Thirsk. That relative test of speed didn't look ideal so following up here may once again need a pace collapse/strong finish, has claims though.
Modest sort, yet to win a race although he did produce a fair effort in a Doncaster 1m handicap last time (suited by the run of the race). Cheekpieces worn first-time on last outing are retained, hard to be confident about his chance given profile.
21 starts and counting since his last win, has looked out of sorts for his former yards especially throughout 2019. New yard do well with this sort though so a turn around can't be ruled out if flagged up by the market in a modest contest.
No world beater but did build on the promise of a previous start when only beaten 2L by an unexposed sort at Musselburgh (1m, good) recently). No banker to repeat that performance he is a course winner (7.2f) and has modest claims again.
Just 1-27 on the Flat with 21 starts since that solitary victory, has returned to form of late with a second in a Newcastle AW handicap (7,1f, slow). Has the ability to win a low-grade race like this (often forces pace), especially back at 1m.
Like a few in this field he arrives here with a long losing sequence to burden his profile (32 starts in this case). Stepped up on his reappearance run last time at Leicester (7f, firm), hard to tally discount with yard in fair form.
Hard to be confident about his chance, only lightly-raced, offered little on handicap debut last time and remains with no solid form. Always behind on that occasion, that performance didn't point to any progress in the near future.
Well held in three minor AW Tapeta events at Newcastle and Wolverhampton at up to 7.2f prior to trying a handicap on the same surface last time up in trip (8,7f) at the latter venue. Showed little, hard to recommend even in this sphere.
Cheekpieces on first-time having shown little promise for this yard having left Denis Hogan in Ireland (0-6 for that yard). First GB turf run, can start slowly, would need to show some progress to get involved.
Hooded for her handicap/stable debut having left Keith Dalgleish at Thirsk (6f, good/firm) last time but showed very little having looked one for low-grade handicaps. Blinkers now tried first-time, hard to make a case on the evidence so far.
Potential shown on his stable/AW/handicap debut caused him to be a warm favourite at Wolverhampton (7.2f, slow) last time (wore first-time cheekpieces). Tok second, gave enough hope to suspect this yard will find an opening for him, this could be it.

Forecasts
Travel Lightly (5/2), Royal Countess (7/2), Perfect Soldier (5/1), Joyful Star (6/1), Wrath Of Hector (8/1), Flying Moon (10/1), Carlow Boy (16/1), Cosmic Symbol (16/1), Rock Warbler (20/1), Cape Town Lady (22/1), The Trendy Man (33/1), Thornaby Spirit (50/1), Moneyball (66/1), Wildmountainthyme (100/1)
None of these really stand out as reliable propositions and the picture is further complicated by the fact that Flying Moon (winner at Hamilton on Sunday) isn’t certain to take his chance or be suited by the step back to 1m if he does under a penalty. Therefore the 3yo WRATH OF HECTOR is a tentative suggestion on the back of his creditable effort at Wolverhampton last time where he reportedly lost a shoe in the process. Royal Countess enters the picture if she can repeat the form of her handicap win here last Monday while modest handicappers like Joyful Star, Perfect Soldier, Travel Lightly and Rock Warbler all have a chance at this level.
- Wrath Of Hector
- Royal Countess
- Flying Moon
