Lightly-raced sort who made her handicap debut last time at Thirsk (6f, good/soft) having shown little as a 2yo (failed to progress from debut). Below form on her one previous try at this trip, looked in need of the run last time, limited appeal.

Trying 7f for the first-time having dropped fairly quickly from his opening handicap mark of 74. Well held on AW (6f) when returning to action, has one piece of 2yo form that would make him look well handicapped, still a maiden though.

Only ran once as 2yo, gradually working his way forward as a 3yo (appears better since going into handicaps). Races off same mark as when he was third last time out at Doncaster (7f, firm), could need some headgear, suited by 1m+ given his last run.

Extended 1m trips in two starts for this yard have seen him finish tamely on each occasion (step back to 7f may help in that regard). Booking of Danny Tudhope takes the eye (decent record for yard), worth a second glance in the market given profile.

Three moderate efforts as a 2yo were put behind him when he caught the eye on handicap debut at Windsor (6f, good), didn't get the run he needed (not given hard time). Not seen to best effect again last time, suspect more is possible up 1f in trip.

Like plenty of 3yo's this year given his handicap debut after just two starts, lacked the experience to get involved at Doncaster (6f, good), may have needed the run. Unable to land a blow last time he's now upped in trip, dropped 3lb in weights.

Hood on for handicap debut (only newcomer to this sphere in field) having failed to build on his 3yo/GB/stable debut at Doncaster (1m, firm) last time. Pulled hard, failed to settle, could have more to offer in handicaps, one to watch in the market.

Yard yet to really get going, went backwards from reappearance/stable debut on AW last time albeit having to suffer a wide trip over 6.1f. May have a part to play for this yard further down the line once they have got to grips with him.

Modest form as a 2yo prior to showing improved form on his first 3yo start at Wolverhampton when winning over 7.2f (seen to maximum effect). Continued in good heart since then including at Catterick (7f, good) recently, should be involved again.

Given a stiff mark for her handicap debut she shaped as though the experience was a little too much at Hamilton (6f, good/firm) last time. Immediately eased 5lb this looks another stiff test of her credentials which look rather modest so far.

Failed to really progress as a 2yo although she did run over trips that looked on the short side. Upped to 1m for her reappearance she looked to need the run dropping away easily (race has proved decent form), still only a watching brief.

Verdict

One of the more competitive and interesting races on the card with one or two who could be better than their current marks. Wots The Wifi Code looks interestingly handicapped on some of his form and he’s one to note but it’s one he finished behind last time who really takes the eye in CMON CMON. Not seen to best effect on either of his 3yo starts over 6f there looks to be potential left in him off this mark with a clearer passage. Inductive can be relied upon to run his usual sound race with the blinkers now used for the first-time to eke out some more progress. Jungle Book and Hachert are two where strong market vibes would be significant with Noddyolder and Ventura Rascal also of interest.
  1. Cmon Cmon
  2. Wots The Wifi Code
  3. Inductive
