May have needed the reappearance at Beverley last time (1m2f, good; 20-1); acts on any ground and on a workable mark; will need a good pace and likely to come fast and late with his challenge.
No win since 2018; has been competitive in three starts over a 14-day period last month but not really looked like winning; eased another 3lb now and that can help push him closer.
40-1 maiden hurdle winner at Catterick (2m3½f, soft) in December; poor next time and is 0-10 on the Flat previously (turf/AW); hard to recommend.
Triple winner at up to 1m1f, on a variety of going; 2L fourth last month on seasonal bow at Beverley (1m4f, good; 20-1) but step backwards over same C&D 12 days later. Eased 1lb in the ratings now.
Shaped nicely in handicaps over this sort of trip last summer and duly landed the money at Musselburgh in August (6-4fav); failed to build on that win afterwards. Reappearance on AW was promising but poor run since at Thirsk (1m6f, good; 12-1).
0-9 in both codes but only beaten 2½L last time at Thirsk (1m4f, good to soft; 11-1) and closely matched with Smart Lass on that form. Same mark now and merits some thought on the back of that.
Dual purpose maiden; outran odds of 33-1 on Flat return when 3¼L second in a handicap here (1m½f, soft) a fortnight ago, staying on from the rear. Should be competitive up in trip from the same mark.
Has a couple of wins on the Flat and landed conditional jockeys' h'cap over hurdles at Wetherby in March (2m, soft); easily his best effort for this trainer. Ran no sort of race on Flat return at Haydock but might be more at home if it rains here.
12-race maiden on the Flat but she has won twice over hurdles; pair of promising runs last month at Thirsk and here over much shorter trips and this sort of test should be more her thing; can grab a race like this from lowly rating.
Winner of a soft-ground 2m4f handicap hurdle at Musselburgh in February when last spotted (11-4fav); just 1-26 previously in Flat turf faces, though that win was over C&D in 2018 and so can't be ruled out here.

Forecasts
Smart Lass (9/4), Flying Moon (7/2), Cuba Ruba (4/1), Millie The Minx (9/2), Framley Garth (6/1), Convivial (10/1), Pammi (10/1), Dutch Coed (10/1), Majeste (14/1), Coup De Gold (20/1), Oceanus (25/1)
MILLIE THE MINX has put up to decent efforts over the last month at Thirsk and around here, both at around a mile. This sort of trip should be more to the liking of the dual hurdles winner and she can likely grab a prize soon from her lowly rating. Smart Lass didn't get the clearest of runs last time at Musselburgh and is a threat while Flying Moon caught the eye staying on late over a shorter trip here recently and is on the shortlist along with Convivial; who was upsides Smart Lass at Thirsk and has scope for better given that was her first Flat handicap on turf.
- Millie The Minx
- Smart Lass
